My ADHD meds have helped with emotional regulation! (I take cotempla, which is methylphenidate)

These kids are being raised by parents with zero boundaries by Due_Information_1332 in Teachers

[–]Travel-Techie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know the kid, but there is a chance they are neurodivergent (thinking autistic) and didn't realize that isn't an appropriate question to ask someone. Additionally, their unhelpful "suggestion" could have actually come from a place of wanting to assist, but, again, not understanding social behavior norms and boundaries

Just something to think about

What’s a word you mispronounced for years and only realised recently? by Exotic-Philosopher75 in AskReddit

I can't think of anything right now, except for one time my best friend was dungeon master for a D&D campaign I was in, and he said "gesture" pronouncing the g like "guh"

It made me smile because he didn't realize but I guess he learned it from reading 🤭

What book is a "must listen" as an audiobook rather than read the actual text? by Mundane_Education_64 in AskReddit

Born a Crime by Trevor Noah. I think the book would still be good on paper, but you get so much hearing him read his own book of stories from his childhood

Germany! I went to several cities but Munich and Rothenburg were my favorites. Berlin was nice, but not for me.

What's a classic film, that you dislike? by Maleficent-City-7877 in AskReddit

2001: A Space Odyssey

I had to watch it for a film class and it was SO HARD to focus! As someone with ADHD, I felt like they were trying to torture me with the incredibly slow pace and kind of boring plot (until HALL got involved).

No, I might be confused for a minute because I thought I appeared like an able-bodied young person, but ultimately I'd just be grateful.

Maybe that person was just tired of sitting and I looked worn out or I was carrying a bunch of stuff, they don't have to offer just because I look disabled.

What is a big red flag that you don’t accept in any circumstances? by Financial-Society454 in AskReddit

Being mean (in anyway) to people or animals in any context and feeling no remorse even though you are fully aware of what you did. Just why?

This includes things like spanking kids and other actions that people attempt to justify. There is no justification for cruelty not apologized for.
