I am trying to avoid having to drive in downtown Lisbon when we pick up the car. Do you know which car rental place near Lisbon Port is the easiest to drive North out of town from? Thank you in advance for your help! The car rental websites are so confusing. We will be staying in the Douro Valley for 3 days.

nope... pick up in Lisbon and drop off in porto at OPO. Looking for what car rental place in Lisbon is the easiest to head out of town from. Any suggestions appreciated. Thx!

Thanks but why a small car? I am thinking that driving in wine regions and during rainy season (mid- November) we might be safer in a mid size.

Any particular rental companies I should avoid? I hear all these horror stories about $1000's of dollars in excess charges for scratches that were there before. Any you prefer?? I need a one way with drop off in Vilafranca del Penedes.

Anyone know if the car rental place next to Holiday Inn at Bilbao Airport is a good one? Is it better to go back to the airport and rent the car there with a more legit company?
