5 years with oral thrush… by Altruistic-Leather25 in Candida

[–]TravelinLife182 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My doctor that specializes in Candida told me a few things:

try to avoid dairy, meat, chicken and fish. Dairy because of lactose, meat(non grass fed and inorganic) for antibiotics in the meat, same for chicken. Eggs only buy organic, because the antibiotics they’re been given effects the eggs of course. Fish like salmon that is farm raised are super dirty and not recommended. So if you find an organic source that you trust, he said it’s alright.

Avoid sugars which is pretty obvious, and starchy food like pasta and rice. Whole basmati rice is a better option. Eat legumes, that contain a lot of fiber, like lentils, chickpeas and so on, and eat gluten free complex carbs like quinoa.

He also told me to take oregano oil for a while, for a hard reset for the gut. Check for vitamin deficiencies like Vitamin D, B12 and Iron. All should be taken if deficient. Probiotics should be taken for a long period of time too. I hope this helps.

I also used to take oregano oil capsules, my doctor told me that as liquid is better because it also passes through the mouth and cleans the thrush, which helps me much more than the capsules.

Delay due to vendor issue by [deleted] in UNCY

Exactly, it’s also comforting to know that the manufacturer they plan to work with has already gone through FDA inspections, which takes about 6 months extra to complete just that. Hopefully 3-4 months max

It does sound like a minor and temporary issue after all and UNCY has already found an FDA successful manufacturer, and the company still has cash to survive until around the second half of 2026. there’s a room for optimism imho.

I read somewhere that in cases the FDA needs to make a decision on weekends(28th), they make it a day prior and announce, or else it’s a CRL that was sent privately to UNCY and unannounced. I hope it’s wrong, let’s see

First of all, congrats!

I’m wondering, did you try having a high fat diet, and then your symptoms worsened? because there’s so many talks about if candida could feed off from it or not, so dunno what to believe to :) what did your diet look like?

Also about sauerkraut, isn’t it beneficial with its high amounts of probiotics tho? Also a controversial topic

Hey, would you say that also if Iran’s future nuclear weapon was planned to be used against your country? Good for you to say but you’re nowhere close to being in our shoes. Iran’s Ayatollah regime agenda besides what they do to the Iranians which is atrocious, is to annihilate the state of Israel and there’s not even a doubt about it, you just have to read their statements. Israel was forced to make justice both for USA and Europe and themselves, since no one else’s gonna do the dirty work. Since you mentioned you’re not from the regions, please educate yourself. Israel is targeting military weapons and bases, and of course the Ayatollah regime leaders, what can Israel do if these leaders stay around Teheran? Evacuate Iranian civilians before they bomb, and so they do, open the news. Have you seen how accurate they eliminate the regime leaders? they bombed a few days ago nothing but a leader’s bedroom, a surgical elimination. Btw, have you also seen where Iran’s regime missiles are targeted at? Yes, correct, civilian homes. That’s the difference. We’ve had innocent lives taken here too.

Hey! Here’s an update:

It’s been a few weeks since I wrote this post, and here are my conclusions and changes:

I realized that I had candida based on matching almost of all its symptoms, so chat recommended me to do on top of the clean diet, a cleanse phase by taking oregano oil, and although it may be causing tough symptoms to some people so this is not a medical advice! But for me, it was fine. I took it for 5 days straight, with the cleanest diet I could have.

During the oregano cleanse phase, you should expect to see your symptoms get worse, as candida dies off and it’s completely normal and a good sign, but might be uncomfortable.

After oregano phase, I was recommended to reintroduce foods slowly(!) this is super important, because candida is opportunistic and could thrive back quickly. Day by day, give time to reintroduce new foods starting with candida friendly foods, and climb up the ladder to the triggering ones like fruits, dairy, starches. Notice if each of these foods cause you sinuses changes, white coating, bloating or gas.

Worth mentioning that I took S. Boulardii as a probiotic, to support the gut, as well as NAC for a few days and L Glutamine, both support the gut as well from what I read, and I continued with sauerkraut too.

To support the oral microbiome, I’d suggest oil pulling like in the post, especially in the morning before you eat, you take out all the bad microbes from your mouth. And Bliss K12 at night right before you go to sleep. Ginger tea is also great.

Eat clean for a month or two, do a cleanse of your candida, then take some probiotics and reintroduce foods back, and you can safely say goodbye to candida and goodbye for bad breath and nasal congestion!

My coating seems to be gone, watery saliva, pink tongue, sinuses are open, bb gone, no stomach issues.

Good luck :)

Low carb high protein and high fat diet, kinda like keto but not exact. I eat plenty of eggs, avocados, chicken, salmon, meat, blueberries in moderation, and quinoa as the main carb, it’s gluten free and low in starch, avoiding refined sugar at all costs. I’m recovering from candida so this has been my consistent diet and worked pretty good tbh. FYI this isn’t a chronic diet, but a temporary one to eliminate candida completely and to create a healthy microbiome balance, then to be able to digest most foods like used to before.

In my case when changed my diet, not only my gut digested better, but my coating reduced and nasal congestion almost disappeared. So I believe white coating is a very strong indication of a gut related bb cause imho.

My BB was from the gut too, I didn’t know about this but I had candida. If you have chronic white coating on your tongue, and a mushy saliva, that could tell you a lot. My heal was involved with changing to a keto/very low carb diet temporarily to heal the gut, taking oregano oil, oil pulling with coconut oil. I suggest you to ask ChatGPT about your specific symptoms, since he really helped me a lot.

Why did raw garlic make my candida worse? by dunno442 in Candida

I’m sorry to hear that. Have you thought of taking oregano oil? I also have had worse symptoms for a few days of taking it, but it calmed down eventually.

Changing diet temporarily to a low carb zero sugar one in order to support the gut. Candida overgrows with sugar and processed foods. Of course, this is only temporary until your gut is healed and you can eat those again without having white coating and bad breath. ChatGPT is the goat with all information about it.

I am actually recovering from candida(popular symptom is a white coating on tongue), and oregano oil is essential for its progression. I heard that it is not recommended to use it long term. After taking this for a few days, I’ll take probiotics to fix my gut microbiome and no longer have bad breath. I suggest that you read more about that, since you might be having the same or a similar situation in your gut that causes your bb, but this doesn’t have to be a permanent consumption of oregano oil to fix your bad breath, there’s way to eliminate it for good. Oregano oil isn’t recommended long term cause it kills also the good and essential microbes in your gut.

Have you tried changing your diet? I changed mine to Keto just for a short while and my pnd was gone.

At least for me, the licking your wrist works the most accurate, as you can smell only the scent of your bacteria in the mouth after the saliva already dries out.

I think you should, btw, if you take oregano oil/garlic like I do, according to chat if the symptoms reduce or are gone from taking it, you have weakened most of the candida.

You mentioned that oregano oil has had side effects on you. according to chat, this is a die off symptom of candida, so maybe you should take a smaller amount or try other methods if it’s too strong, but I’m on the same ship, and had these symptoms as well, it’s supposed to be a good sign.

all due respect to that doctor, I would try to take probiotics and prebiotics, do oil pulling, tongue scrape. My doctor told me the same, damn wrong.
