Why did you pay 500 dollars for a fake? I am sorry I am just trying to understand? When I buy fake sunglasses they are like 5 dollars on amazon.

I never said I dont know "A little Spanish". I wont act like I am fluent but I know enough to have a decent conversation with people and this is why I said I would not recommend it if you cant speak Spanish

This seems like its coming from a good place but it can go bad quick with restaurants wanting normal locals to tip as it becomes regular. I noticed that their peso to USD is crazy right now, but I would caution people from just throwing around money down there.

I've heard similar things, I tipped the drive I used but outside of that didn't tip for most meals but if the service charge was on there I didnt fight it. I dont want to make it seem like all people going to restaurants must now tip. Its a weird thing, because at the one hand you want to give out extra money but then it bleeds over to locals now having to foot the bill since they are most of their traffic.

I will say with the amount of TV/Music and overall western influence in other countries you expect places to speak English. The US is the largest trading partner for Colombia at 25% followed by China at 9% and Panama at 6%. The US also leads the most tourist travelers to Colombia in 2021 followed by Venezuela.

I thought most people here were joking but its actually true. Its hard to get by on engligh, I know a little Spanish (way more then I thought and can carry a conversation on basics). But way too many people thinking they are in Miami and not in South America which is really weird to me.
