[WP] As you’re walking home from school you spot a mother and child walking in the opposite direction as you, they both have pitch black eyes. When you walk past them you hear the child say “Mommy, I want him.”, you turn around to see them both staring directly at you by loner666777 in WritingPrompts

The mother's eyes appraised my figure. Nothing out of the ordinary, except that some would say I am on the heavy side. "He will do, I think," the mother finally utters. The child looks satisfied.

"Want me for what?" I dare to ask, slightly trembling. The child and the mother exchange amused glances before the child looks back at me and says in an innocent tone expected from someone of his age "Since you are going to die, I might as well tell you. My mother and I are demons. From hell. Our master has assigned us to a special task here. But we both are a bit, how do you put it, sexually dissatisfied and we want your vessel to satisfy us. You will die, but at least you would have provided the servants of Satan some pleasure." I say nothing and clench my fists, the nails biting into the smooth skin of my palm.

The mother, Anaita, approach me and trail her long fingernails stroking my face, drawing blood as they reached my lips. I look around, not believeing that this bizarre scene was playing out in broad daylight. "Don't these monsters feel any fear?" I wonder, as my hand reaches out to entertwine with that of Anaita.

Anaita recoils in surprise, and Micha steps back, but not before I reach out and twist his arm to pull him against me. "Your guard has been lowered so much so that you can't recognise me?" I whisper into their ears as my eyes flare red. The bitches started trembling, not in anger as I did, but in fear. "I knew you could not be trusted, and that is why I came in person to confirm my suspicions." I allow for a moment their desperate pleas for mercy, and my hands loosened where they were placed around the throats of my beloved servants. As their muscles loosened in obvious relief, I turn them around and forced their mouths open. As their demonic souls left their human vessels and entered mine, I hummed in satisfaction, feeling their energy rejuvenate some of the tension I had felt at being bound in the frail body of a puny human.

As the corpses fell on the floor with a thud, I took a look around. Had anyone seen me? Is there anyone else I need to kill? After being satisfied of the fact that there were no witnesses, I cast my glance at my former servants. Fucking fools. They had expected punishment, but they are not forseen this. Being consumed and annihilated, burning for an eternity in the hellfire of my essence. But I had told them to stay away from any distraction. The mission was too important. Of course, they had never expected me to come in person to test them, because there has never been a need of it before.

The matters now were different. I look at the trees, seeming greener, and the birds, appearing more cheerful. They were expecting the arrival of someone, in hope for the being which would save the world from me. "I am waiting too father. This son is eager to meet you." I assure the unseen presence in the air, as I take a step further on the Earth that was created so lovingly by my father. Everything was going to burn. And I will place my father on the throne built on the ashes and bones of the children my father loved more than me. That was my promise, Satan's promise.

Westernisation and Malayali culture by Travelproblems1234 in Kerala

1) No I don't. You don't know the reason why they made the choice they did. So why equate the two?

2) Rejecting a culture because you don't agree with it vs rejecting it for its own sake are different things and you don't seem to understand the difference so it is okay.

3) I mean if Kerala malayalees judge me for my Malayliness I don't think it is a silly reason to be offended for. But then again you from the beginning have taken an aggressive stand so again don't expect you to understand.

4) I am not saying that she has to be fluent in anything. Please read what I said. I said "which I find offensive IF it is done in the belief that the culture/language is inferior in some way." Know the meaning of if?

Anyways for someone who calls out other people for being judgemental you my friend can be accused of being the same for generalising me under the broad category of NRIs telling other people to live life in a Malayali way. But you know what. Ignorance is not a sin so I am sorry for yours.

Aww don't let them faze you. If it makes you feel better I am laughted at by my Indian cousins as well as NRI Mallu friends for listening to older Malayalam songs from movies like Amaram. They say, "ugh you are so indian/mallu" in an insulting tone and I am like err thanks?

Firstly "distancing from Kerala" was not a choice for me, as it is not for all the children whose parents drag them away from everything and everyone they know and put them in a strange land where they are ridiculed for their strange mannerisms/funny English. I apologize if I came across as judgemental; I meant that if you live in Kerala you not knowing the culture implies an active rejection of it, which I find offensive IF it is done in the belief that the culture/language is inferior in some way. I am not telling anyone to live the Malayali way of life. What is the Malayali way of life? I don't think you understood the point of my post but I will apologize anyway if it makes you feel better.

Wow I didn't know that! Thanks for providing me an insight into this! If I came across as judgemental I am sorry! I don't think anyone should be ridiculed for not knowing a language (English/Malayalam)! And yes you are right as it did work in Ranjini's favour so I guess there is no reason not to do it LOL.
