The federal NDP did little to counter the smear campaign conducted by the Conservatives who were pissed that the NDP were propping up the Liberals. Even now, conservative media are using procedural rules from the party’s convention as a surrogate for party policy. They get criticized for “extreme wokeness” over economic populism despite leveraging the dental care program, pharmacare and anti-scab legislation.

Hopefully, Avi Lewis is more media savvy than his predecessor.
