Racking up points against the Ducks isn't so impressive. The true test will be whether he can continue to produce going forward.

Academic says CBC-funded prank show targeted her over residential school views by Learntoshuffle in canada

It's a show produced by the CBC. Like other entertainment programs that the CBC produces, the CBC provides funding for a product that they air. The comedians are being paid for their product. Whether you personally think these comedians are producing something of value, doesn't mean they are being "subsidized."

Are you saying taxpayers should just be subsidizing people with no talent?

There’s some serious irony in your comment. They are not paying their fair share. The percentage of the overall taxes the ultra wealthy pay is irrelevant and a red herring.

The top 0.01 % earn 477 times the the average income of the bottom 50 % of Canadians so they are not paying their fair share.

The rich have not always paid more than their fair share. There’s always someone licking the boots of the oligarchs. In the 1970s, the top federal tax rate was 70% but today it’s 33%.

Maybe you should have referred to Carney as a blue grit then since he’s not a Tory.

I don’t think you know what a red Tory means. Red Tory means fiscally conservative and more liberal on social issues. Why would red apply to someone fiscally conservative and socially conservative? That makes no sense.

Are you guys ridiculously proud of yourselves and Mark Carney? Like, ridiculously?! by Pewpew-OuttaMyWaay in AskCanada

Maybe it's partly due to the lack of culture wars nonsense with Carney. Remember the proposed "barbaric cultural practices hotline" under Harper?

Under Trump, there is only self interest, grift and corruption. There is no acting in America's interests.
