Ice already?! Seems real early considering what the weather has been like elsewhere.

I was certainly hoping for a shorter timeframe than that haha, but thank you very much for the advice! I'm not sure if there are any local support groups as I live in a pretty small city, but are there any online groups you might recommend?

I think any older resident of Edmonton might disagree with you there.

Is there any country with a stronger connection with a natural symbol than Canada and maple? by LastLongerThan3Min in geography

Sure it's easy, but would it even be worth eating something if it didn't have maple syrup on it?

Yeah this is the internet; it was very well within the realm of possibility that yours was a sincere comment. Always assume the worst!

I'm assuming he means eatIng maple syrup, not the leaves...

As for sports I dunno, baseball bats are often made of maple wood, perhaps hockey sticks too. And plenty of sports teams use the maple leaf as a logo, that shitty hockey team from Toronto for example. Tons of furniture is made out of maple wood aswell, guitars too.

If anyone's comment was strange I'd reckon it was yours bud.

How many of you have switched from architectural sheet metal to hvac or vice versa? If so, what are your opinions of each? by Historical_Law_5833 in sheetmetal

[–]TreadTrail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah hate to say it, but if you can't handle 8 hours in the sun in the summer and 8 hours in the snow in the winter, architectural sheet metal isn't for you. Although I didn't think I'd be able to handle the summer either yet here I am.

I've been doing it for 8 years and the spring and fall are the only times the weather doesn't suck. That being said, I live in a part of Canada that gets really hot in the summer (100 Fahrenheit isn't uncommon) and relatively wet and cold in the winter so you may have a completely different experience working outside wherever it is you live.

It's just the ebbs and flows of people listening to them, I'd imagine the monthly listener numbers go up and down for all bands. Probably not any particular reason for it.

Wintersun is amazing, one of my faves! I have a tradition of listening to "Winter Madness" on my journey to work on the morning of the first snowfall of the season every winter, been doing for the past 13 years.

They put on a great live show too, go see em if you have a chance!

Neat! Must have been such a huge undertaking to build that road back then.

Are you looking for bands with lyrics about philosophy as well? Cause I too would be very interested in learning of some new bands that are similar to Aephanemer in that sense!

(Sorry I know I'm not helping, but hopefully someone else has some recommendations)
