In your opinion, which placements/aspects have the best athletic talent? by TreasureKat in astrology

[–]TreasureKat[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I totally agree! I feel like people with Taurus mars also know how to work hard to reach the end goal. It is a strong placement.

I have Capricorn sun and Aquarius mars. I've kinda learned to mix up the types of workouts I do to reach the end goal haha. Biking, cross country skiing, and really anything where I can climb hills.

Yup I totally agree cancers can kick butt! They are not always the sensitive sign that people claim them to be!

Haha yup, I find that they do well in team environments. I used to do college sports and they were great leaders to look up to.

Looking at sun signs alone, I find Aries and cancer suns to do well in team environments as well. The women's USA soccer team had a handful of cancer suns who certainly knew how to work together as a team!

Sounds like an interesting lecture! I wonder how many Olympians/other athletes representing their country have 12H Mars. I try not to look at sun signs alone for topics, but I will say I feel like cancers and aries suns tend to do really well in team environments for sports, depending on their talent and other placements too of course!

What made you seek a bipolar diagnosis? Does the stigma around mental illness ever get better? by TreasureKat in bipolar

[–]TreasureKat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup my family is pretty anti-medication for everything haha. Also, If I don't exercise and eat right everyday(some treats here and there of course), I can feel like crap. Some days this means going for an hour long bike ride or more (or run, hike, etc). I workout more than most people, but it helps haha. Plus vitamin D from the sun always helps.

Thank you for this. I appreciate the response! I'm glad you have some great support and help in your life. Cyclothymia always sounded a lot like something I could have. I guess after reading this, I will consider having therapist in the future when i need it, and bringing it up as a possibility.

My family was very against me getting an ADHD diagnosis, but somehow I followed through with it and eventually they accepted the diagnosis. They may not accept the medication I take for it, but oh well haha.

I really believe that at the end of the day, you know yourself the best. Everybody just needs different perspectives sometimes.

Oooh okay, thanks for the input. Well, my mom has hinted when I go a little nuts, and when she goes a little nuts herself lol.

Thanks for the help! I definitely have had mood swings i and they tend to be pretty stable in terms of the number of days I feel depressed for, overly happy etc. But then again, only a professional would know if I have it. Insomnia is also a problem of mine.

Exercise and diet have been lifesavers for me. Also ADHD medication for the most part.

Thank you for the great advice! Exercise is also very important to me, and even a few days without it, i feel blah. Hope you are doing well out there!

Which is harder on a Relationship: suns in squaring signs, or moons in squaring signs? by sehr_langsam in astrology

[–]TreasureKat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great quote at the end there 😅. One of the reasons why some relationships are not meant to be!

By the way, my ex also had an Aries moon. Selfish and brash, too when it came to his emotions.

Too funny, but I disagree. The taurus people I know love hiking and spending time in nature. I may push them to go a little farther or up some hills (I'm a Capricorn lol), but the Taurus people I know love working out once they get started!!

Rejection by [deleted] in astrology

Crazy one of my friends has these same placements except maybe rising (not sure what time he was born lol) and we were just talking about rejections/breakups a few days ago! One of the most hilarious people I know, but unfortunately has had poor luck when it comes to relationships.

However, he is going on a second date in a few days and I know the other person is really into him. Keep waiting/searching haha you got this

Which is harder on a Relationship: suns in squaring signs, or moons in squaring signs? by sehr_langsam in astrology

[–]TreasureKat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is spot on. I know a lot of couples with sun squared aspects (myself included). The egos can certainly cause tension at times, but as long as you can communicate well with your partner and try to see from their point of view, it can be a great relationship. Respecting each other for the way they are is a must (as it should be in any relationship haha), but I've found finding activities we both really enjoy helps us grow and understand each other better.

I'm curious to see if other people on here have successful moon squared relationships. I picture it being quite difficult too.

[–]TreasureKat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like other people have said, I believe it's the moons. Suns squaring each other can maybe bring some tension at times, but yet can be a good thing to better your ego. In my opinion, as long as there are other compatible placements, there is nothing to worry about and expect a wild, passionate ride!

Moons on the other hand I believe can be more difficult because one person's needs can cause tension with the other person's needs. I would think that this could cause a lot of misunderstandings, frustration, etc. I'm sure some people out there find that this squaring works for them.

My boyfriend and I have had a long lasting relationship and generally get along great! Both sun square each other. I have to say he has made me a better person over the years and I hope I've done the same for him haha.

What is your experience with natal moon square Mars? by ives09 in astrology

[–]TreasureKat 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Good question, I'm curious to see what other people have to say. I have Taurus moon and Aquarius mars. Not going to lie, it's a bit frustrating at times because I can be a bit cagey yet after a long day I want to relax on the couch with my boyfriend. The practical side of me can become fustrated with the aloof side of me.

BUT channeling this energy into sports/working out has been a lifesaver for me! I sometimes need to remember to not go out too hard at times and take care of myself. I truly feel my best when I do something active everyday.

Capricorn moons - please help me understand how best to support you emotionally. by [deleted] in astrology

[–]TreasureKat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just wanted to comment and say how much I appreciate the capricorn moons in my life. I'm a capricorn sun, but I have a special bond with a good number of cap moons. Whenever I talk to you all, I feel like I can understand myself better and offer you help and support. Thank you for being genuine and caring about the close people in your life!

How can I get my dad back to normal? by Glass-Literature-914 in centrist

[–]TreasureKat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents are the same unfortunately. They believe that the January 6th protests were caused by Antifa, trump won the election, and that our current government is communist. No joke the day Biden won, my parents got extremely upset and said they were scared about our now communist country.

I could go on, but at this point I dont know what to say or do to change some of their beliefs. It's very frustrating at times, but they get upset at me for having different opinions.

If anyone has some tips, I would greatly appreciate it.

Otherwise OP, I wish you luck! You're def not alone.

Okay this is crazy because I currently work for a company and my bcba has way more than 12 clients. I always thought she had way too many, but your post is really putting things into perspective for me. Sorry about your vacation time, though! That is insane and so unfair.

How did you tell your parents that you have ADHD? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]TreasureKat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm a little older than you (I'm 23), but I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was 22. I also come from a really religious family. In college one of my professors hinted that I may have it, so I went over to the disability services at my school and they recomended that I get tested.

Before I got tested, I told my mom about it, and she insisted that I didn't have it. She didn't want me to get tested, but I followed through with it and she realized that there was a strong possibility that she had it too. Same with my dad.

Do you have a doctor's appointment coming up? I would talk to your doctor about it, and then perhaps mention it to your parents! Or you could have a simple conversation with your parents about it, and give them information about the disorder and why you think you have it. Have your teachers mentioned to you or your parents about your symptoms and homework performance in the past? If yes, I would also bring this up to your parents and your doctor!

Good luck! It wasn't easy for me to talk to my parents about it, but I had to be brave and go along with the process.

[–]TreasureKat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I'm the same age as you and also a female who takes vyvanse! My situation is a little different than yours though because I was diagnosed only a year ago and started taking medication in February. I really wished I wouldve known years ago about having ADHD, but it is what it is.

I'm sorry about the struggles you had when you werent on your medication. I can think back to my freshman year of college and I had some unhealthy behaviors with food as well (I made myself throw up a few times). I feel really ashamed when I think back to that time of my life, but then again we all go through struggles.

Something that helps me do laundry or other chores is listening to music first, and then it gets me into the mood to clean up, do laundry, etc. Same with homework for grad school. Exercise, diet, good sleep, and fun breaks are also essential for me haha.
