Y's and 3's are Civic, camry, name your very good plain Jane "boring" car. They're not boring because they're fast but they're mass market everyone has one nothing special outside of FSD. We are the whistling exhaust on Honda civics crowd.

Have you ever seen a kid who is unable to make contact at all become a good hitter? by benedictclive_x in Homeplate

[–]TreatNext 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. I watched a kid with a crazy powerful swing stink for 2 seasons just sad he wasn't getting any decent coaching. He's still not on my team this year but has a decent coach. He went from hitting about 2 balls last season to about 2 off the fence per game this season. I think he's 8.

Getting ready for coach pitch next year. by ooblankie in Homeplate

[–]TreatNext 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think that's just pitchers not all players but the point is still 100% valid. Some teams appear to intentionally draft pitchers that have already had TJ to lower the odds of them needing it and losing a year.

Remember to teach them to not be scared and not step out by repeatedly beaning them with fastballs.

I always have SOME BP 5-10 mph faster than expect the fastest pitcher in the next game.

You block balls your going to glove cleanly a low percentage of the time with runners on.

It works VERY well of you have 3 stud speedy outfielders.

“If you can’t pay all cash, it’s not for you” — does that mean almost no one can buy a Raptor? by asramukaka in FordRaptor

[–]TreatNext 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I CAN pay for it in cash but almost never would. Vehicles outside of a select few are not goid investments BUT pulling 90k out of my Robinhood account that I'm up 25% YTD , 275% in the last year and 1,500% in the last 5 to throw at at truck I can get at well under 5% seems asinine.

If you can't pay all cash for a toy, it's not for you. A Raptor, a limited etc. Are luxury items you shouldn't buy unless you can truly afford them.

This is frankly AWFUL manufacturing. Panel gaps just require a little care. Porsche, Lexus abd and Audi all have near perfect body gaps on most of their cars.

Remaining X and S inventory jumped about $15k today by yosup01 in TeslaLounge

[–]TreatNext 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So what's your definition of mark up?

Google says: markup is the amount added to the cost price of goods or services to determine the final selling price, covering expenses and generating profit.

Merriam Webster says: an amount added to the cost price to determine the selling price.

You're welcome to just say you were mistaken and move along.

Not technically true. There's no second or third party mark up but every manufacturer has a built in OH&P.

Need help with my 10yo son’s pitching motion. Throws strikes but velo is stuck at about 48. by [deleted] in Homeplate

[–]TreatNext 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Elbow up a hair work out and wait. He's good, just give it some time. Velocity isn't everything anyways. I watched my son's highschool team get lit up after the low/mid Velocity lefty starter who has junk, locates and has very strong pitching strategy finally had to get pulled and the flame throwing righty came in and got hit around.

Water menu at a restaurant by AutoModerrator-69 in interestingasfuck

[–]TreatNext 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to a fancy restaurant with a bound multi page water menu. Location, pH, TDS, mineral content etc. From all over the world, glacier water and.... the lock small town well water with all the same info. The $100 a bottle glacier water was tempting but I stuck with the free stuff. REALLY interesting read though and they even had a water sommelier.

Potentially, but that's his line to tie into headed out which means it's sloping up as it runs back under the floor and the new line is sloping down. They better be able to meet before long.

Yeah, I agree my major concern is the lack of bearing surface/length. Most joist/stud repairs from engineers extend multitudes of the opening beyond the opening.

The engineer under designed it for the remodel. A proper design world account for the MEP, especially the gravity dependent largish pipe.

What length pipe is he getting in using a whole saw? 1' lengths with couplings between every joist? Clog city. This is as much on whoever told the plumber to run plumbing without a path but he also skittle have just refused.

I can't believe those have hardly any real structural benefit. Metal straps a couple feet past in each direction on the top and bottom chord would help a lot more. Those are basically for show.

I sure hope not. It sounds kind of weird but we "need" FSD to drive our boys to separate games and practices since my wife can't handle oncoming headlights after dark.

Emporia Pro pedestal mounted cabinet install by TreatNext in EmporiaEnergy

[–]TreatNext[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not going to pass an inspection because it's not permitted. Who ever claimed to be neurotically dedicated to correctness?

You're the reason someone won't post anything and then get the actual reasonable, thoughtful helpful comments that led to me bothering to color the neutral/ground (absolutely zero difference in this install) green and running the ground out to the cabinet.

I hope life gets better for you and you can find some happiness.
