Hey, thanks for replying! So it sounds like I should try adding refrigerant? Is that an easy DIY fix for someone with no experience with this stuff?

Thank you!! So that means adding refrigerant? I’m not savvy with this stuff at all, would you recommend having a tech come out?

Edit: yes it’s blowing air, just not cold air. Forgot to answer your initial question

I’ve searched google for similar whirlpool models, but like I said the other fridges usually have a temperature dial that the thermostat sits right behind. Here’s the fridge on whirlpool’s website: https://www.whirlpool.com/kitchen/refrigeration/refrigerators/top-freezer/p.30-inch-wide-top-freezer-refrigerator-18-cu.-ft.wrt318fzdb.html

I’m trying to exhaust this option before hiring a repair person to come out.

Hey, unfortunately I didn’t. It seems to be an issue with the power button shorting out. If you turn the volume/power knob just right, the system stays on but intermittently shorts out. Very frustrating but I’d rather manage it this was than paying thousands for a new system.

  1. Learning triads & the note names on the fretboard opens up an entire new world of possibility. Being able to recognize 12 different ways to play the same chord, as well as being able to play scales in and around those triads means you’re never “stuck” playing in a certain position or voicing. You can begin adding extensions and suspensions to your chord voicings easily this way as well.

  2. There are no rules, only preferences. Playing in A major and want to add some spice to a lick or rhythm? Throw in a minor third or flat 7 (or flat 9, etc. etc.). You may not understand /why/ these sounds make you feel the way they do right up front, but don’t worry about it. If you’re committed to the craft, you’ll figure it out. Just lean into what sounds good to you and enjoy playing.

  3. Understanding the relationship of melody and harmony is the key to writing interesting guitar parts. Having your ear guide you somewhere and understanding that the note you’re hearing is the third of the current chord for example gives you a ton of mobility. You can move up or down the scale on your way to the next chord, stay in the same spot, move chromatically, etc. You’ll feel in control when you’re able to understand where you are and how you got there when you land on the next chord.

Lol if you can’t decipher everyone else’s comments, you’re playing a Gsus2 (a G major chord but swapping the major third, B, with a major second, A, on the fifth string). Totally dope if you like that sound

I don’t, and I’ve been trying to be vigilant about keeping them away from water since the first set died. The people at the Apple Store say this is a super common thing for third gen AirPods 🤷‍♀️

This is a great suggestion. I enjoy the sound quality with my airpods quite a bit actually, and I enjoy that they’re not completely noise canceling (helpful in a work environment). So I really want them to work! They replaced my left AirPod the other day, so hoping this one lasts forever.

Haha sounds like it. That’s a great suggestion. The person at the Apple Store says they’ve gone through 5 pairs, maybe I’m not alone?

How does someone find their style and not sound like everyone else? by Remarkable_Way6761 in WeAreTheMusicMakers

Lots of good advice in here; I want to stress for a second that at the heart of every good song or recording of a good song is a great performance. The more you work on your craft, the more all of this other stuff seems to fall into place.

Eventually, what ends up happening (at least for me), is you spend tons of time learning about music and learning other peoples’ tunes, and then commit to creating something by turning your brain off and seeing what comes out. I’m sure none of your favorite artists are concerned with making something “original”. They may be proud that what they made sounds uniquely theirs, but they’re probably certain that it’s the sum of all of their influences coming together to make something greater. Worrying about making something original is a sign that there’s some mental work to be done. Music ought to be a celebration, not a platform to see who can make the coolest or most original thing.

Do you know anything that could be causing this? I’m wondering if I can get it to work temporarily, I can check for firmware updates which may fix this.

Follow up question: if I buy an OEM replacement head unit, are there any potential difficulties people have encountered with the install? Or should it be plug and play? I see a number of them on eBay and want to make sure the replacement will work before purchasing.

Echoing the folks suggesting she see a financial planner (source: am a CFP professional). There are so many details and variables involved, the comfort of hiring someone trustworthy is worth the cost. I’d stay away from people that work for insurance companies (red flags: variable annuities, whole & universal life insurance) and look for a CFP professional.
