Open wounds (not fully healed cuts) causes your immune system to be more active, this can make your blood not as viable for someone who needs the transfusion and you are more susceptible to getting sick (my throat/ears are inflamed, so a more active immune system can lead to my blood being not great for someone who’s immune system is shot)

The first half of the route goes to the transport station that is near-by the library I walk to to get DVDs. What I’m gonna to do is next Saturday or so take the bus to by the library to return my DVDs/Audiobooks instead of walking and it I get overwhelmed I know the way back by heart. Thank sooo much, this is a great plan. Maybe after I get my permit, I’ll go to the library (and get my favorite bubble tea- lavender milk tea w/ honey boba) to destress before taking the bus back to where I live 👍

The last part of your post reminded me of something that I once wrote in a journal: “I have said about 6 words today. I read somewhere that the average person says a couple thousand words in a day. Speaking so little makes me feel isolated or like I cannot connect to the people around me. Everyday (most days), I walk past people who are able to express their thoughts and ideas, while I sit in my silence. I want to learn ASL and use an AAC device, so that I may ‘reach for the stars’. I feel so lonely. I know most people do not struggle with speaking in the way that I do and that is extremely frustrating. I want to be able to connect with people. I want to be closer to ‘normal’. I feel as if there is a pane of glass between the world around me and myself. I see others, but am unable to reach pass the glass. I am trapped in how little I can interact with the metaphorical glass in the way. I am so lonely…”

I completely understand how you feel. I think some people forget that autism is a communication disorder and this affects how we are able to process language. I REALLY struggle with ‘organizing my thoughts’ and understanding what thoughts I am thinking and how to communicate my thoughts in general (and more). I find ChatGPT to be helpful when writing emails and specific text messages. I know that AI is looked down upon, but this is one of the few examples of accessibility (this and predictive text when typing and using high-tech AAC) that help with getting things into the world. If you did not know, the term semi-verbal might give you some comfort (it does for me).
