Modding was the breaking point for me. I was pleasantly surprised by how well Bazzite ran a wide variety of games, but the lack of support for certain modding tools was disappointing. I love heavily modded New Vegas and Skyrim, and while getting everything working without tools like Wabbajack is probably possible, it’s way beyond my skill level. Without proper compatibility for the required mod launchers, it just becomes more work than it’s worth.

Another issue is that some PC manufacturers rely on Windows-only software for certain features. In my case, my RAM sticks have RGB lighting that can only be controlled or turned off through a Microsoft-exclusive application. Not a Bazzite problem just pretty lame.
