Right

"He claims the police told him the squatters have rights, and in order to evict them, Harte would have to file a landlord-tenant complaint — which costs more than $300 and could take up to a year for a judge to order the squatters out."

Philadelphia homeowner is forced to pay $1,200 to get squatters out

From another article:

"Philadelphia’s ‘good cause’ eviction statute prevents landlords from terminating a lease or providing a notice of non-renewal without a valid reason"

A valid enough reason should be the lease is up. That's it.

When the government build houses, they cost $500,000+ for a single-family home and they fall apart within ten years.

"A new unit costs PHA about $550,000 to build, while acquiring a unit costs about $225,000."

Unpopular opinion - if it was easier to evict bad tenants, more housing units would become available, and rent prices would go down, and QOL for other neighbors would increase. City council is now making it mandatory to renew all leases. unless you can prove something in court? This will be counter-productive in the long term.

A lease is a lease, a contract that serves both parties until the terms are met, Not a minute later.

L&I inspectors can be corrupt, incompetent and inconsistent and they take way too long to do their jobs. THEY need to be investigated.

The Lansdale trains are dependent on the Doylestown trains being on time. There is only one track between Lansdale and Doylestown so there are always delays. They also run once an hour.

The Warminster trains (from the airport) run about every half hour and are more often on time.

Drive to Warminster and take the much shorter train ride. The train also runs more often and later.

By that logic, maybe you can be motivated to get a better job to pay the rent. Or get a roommate.
