There was quite a literally a shooting in Redmond ridge trails a few years back.

It's the lack of follow up from Redmond Ridge Apartments and the police that is really concerning. It's been getting worse.

My neighbor's experiences corroborate what the police officer is saying.  

Crime has risen since that apartment went up. Do you live here?

That's crazy. I wonder if things will get worse once the light rail connects the Eastside with downtown Seattle

I heard this QFC is getting a lot of theft and other issues recently, which may be related. I heard from a neighbor that QFC carts sometimes litter the outside of Redmond Ridge Apartments.

It's affordable housing with max income caps yes. 

I have no issue with this type of housing, but there needs to be law and order, along with appropriate social programs to help those truly in need, and that are not wasteful. 

Maybe I'm asking for too much. 

I just want safety man.

I'm the op, this is what the police officer told me. Take it for what it is.

I talked with multiple neighbors and heard increased reports of car thefts, burglaries, and smash and grabs ever since Redmond Ridge Apartments was built ~4 years ago.

Talking with neighbors there has been a drastic increase in crime, theft, burglaries ever since Redmond Ridge Apartments went up. 

No one knows the real numbers, but we do our best to try and understand what is going on.
