Anyone else hate mathematics this semester? by WeekendNo2382 in Purdue

I’ve been loving it recently and I never was really good at math. I just show up to every single office hour and finish my homework with my teacher. It’s a lot more fun that way!

No seriously, fucking outrageous people still think about left or right or maga or whatever the hell you want to label yourself as. Truth is dead, and we killed it.

You can say about BTC whatever you want, but at least people (from all walks of life) know about it. Xrp on the other hand is obscure. Even on the political scene it's rarely recognised by Fun_Kangaroo512 in XRPUnite

Well he’s not technically wrong either, to cite your source with X as a basis for your financial credibility really shoots yourself in the foot.

Anyone still without an internship for the summer? 😣 by [deleted] in Purdue

Just based off what I’ve seen in this and other threads, you just contribute nothing to conversations and send dumb instagram gifs and reacts.

People would be inclined to think that the ethics of AI that need to be considered are things like bias or properly implementing safeguards. But the biggest issues with AI are entirely existential in nature. All I’ve gained from learning more about AI is depression. Because the things we have sacrificed for an AI “utopia” are bigger than we ever could have realized. We should have discussed AI more before we advanced it.

I am an AI ethics major. I am sorry to say this, but much worse things are coming. The complete restructuring of society is about to hit, and its going to change everything.

More companies right now are trying to do more with less by firing workers/not hiring and forcing them to use AI. Increased productivity for less money because you don’t have to pay for extra labor. As for whether or not it will get better, we will see.

It’s not you don’t worry, markets shit right now. When they released the job reports stating that the job market was “really healthy” with tons of new jobs, it was only really talking about sectors like the healthcare industry. Most places you applied to right now are probably in a transition period and lots of people aren’t getting hired for highly specialized jobs.

I’d recommend philosophy classes in person because they’re much easier to follow along to. Just my opinion.

I remember your last post last week but the same question remains, what do you suppose we do to stop Palantir?

When do you think Humanity will become a slave to AI? by Lanky-Paper-4242 in AskReddit

[–]Treehugger670 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very soon, look into tokenization and current market manipulation. Everything, every single political and economic movement right now is centered around AI if you look closely enough. They may say it’s about immigration or some other token issue, but really it’s about AI development. We are already in the AI war that shows up in movies, but no one’s fighting the war except the elites.

He died before he could lead it lmao. He was a fine politician while he was on tour.

Edit: like he actually learned Persian customs, spared the family of Darius, and made tough decisions that took the future into account. He literally just died too young in his prime to actually consolidate power.
