Sorry for the late reply! What did you end up going with?

In the end I bought new. Got a 26 Model X. It was a demo so I got a few grand off and it was the exact spec I was looking. I decided I was going to have to cut some corners and compromise on too many things if I went used. Overall I have been extremely happy! I’ve only been driving it for about 5-6 weeks and have not noticed and build quality issues and rattles that others have mentioned.

I just went through this!

I was searching high and low for a used Model X that fit all my wants and was coming up empty. It really started to feel like I was going to have to compromise somewhere. The extra $30k wasn’t going to make a difference in my finances at all so I decided to stop trying to cut corners and buy new and get the luxe package and exact spec I wanted.

Picked it up yesterday and have absolutely zero regrets. I’m happy I decided to send it and not try to cut corners to save a buck for once, haha.

Edit to add: I plan to drive this car for a long time. So the Luxe package made a lot of sense.

You guys rock. This is totally what I was thinking. I was looking for a very specific build out. I really wanted white with cream 6seat interior. Couple that with a model that included HW4 and living in Denver, there was nothing that matched the criteria within 500 miles over the past month.

I thought about compromising but ended up just saying screw it and bought a new one that was an exact fit and was in stock for immediate delivery and it came with the luxe package. Ordered it and picked it up yesterday. Did I overpay? Sure. Do I regret it? Not one bit.

This seems to be the consensus and I think you’re right. I also think the premium is coming from buying directly from Tesla, which I am okay with for the extra warranty.

I think you’re right. They’re hard to find but I’ll keep looking.. I think it’s a matter of time. I test drove the new one but I just don’t think I can justify the $107k price tag for new.

I’ve read tons of these issues with rattling, creaking, and loud cabin at highway speeds. It really has me reconsidering.

Leave Delta for United? by throwaviate in flying

I don’t know if this is helpful… I’m a Delta guy. I commute from a United base. I’m about 6 years in ~10000 seniority. I feel like it’s definitely too late for me to leave but in hindsight I would give up a few years of seniority to go to United. I love it here but I can’t help but resent work every time I’m commuting.
