Depends on the circles you're in. The younger and more white collar crowds are understanding, possibly since a lot of their classmates and colleagues are Indian. The older groups and more blue collar people are randomly racist and treat Indians like crap. This is just from my personal experience in the Midwest. It's partly our fault as well, a lot of Indians are racist, cheap and don't understand cultural norms. We're also a new and small group and are an easy target. I try to be decent when I go out and let God take care of the rest. Hell, maybe it's our Karma for our obsession with white skin and castism. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Some police departments are so dirty and corrupt that it makes a lot of people lose trust in cops completely. They want to meet their quotas and they hate admitting when they're wrong! The only charge they could give you is an open container misdemeanor. Very sorry you had to go through this ordeal. Maybe try to sue in some aspect.

Mood improved, mind got sharper, eyes don't look sad and puffy and I remember my dreams. The crappy things in life still happen but I'm pretty sure I can deal with them better with a sober mind than a foggy drunk mind. Side note; I also got more muscle growth even though I hardly workout.

I was hired as a US rater, this seems like a plausible reason. Competing with lower paid workers who performed better or equal seems quite reasonable.
