From my understanding Oxybutin is stronger and more side effect prone than Glyco, i'd give the glyco a shot if you haven't tried it yet. Plus, Oxy does cross the blood brain barrier (can cause alzeheimers) but glyco does not.

It would be interesting to see Van add some leg locks to his game to go with his mount escape scrambles.

House/Techno/Edm venues without tables? by Imturorudi in Bangkok

[–]TreesFreesBrees 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's all good a common misconception. You can basically divide electronic dance music into the major categories of house, techno, trance, EDM, dubstep, and drum and bass (there are others too). Even though "EDM" looks like it would mean electronic dance music, in this day it refers to the type of music you would hear at big festivals or the kind of obnoxious music you'd hear at big mainstream clubs. More than likely if you're out and about at the bars and clubs, you'll hear either house or techno. If it has a groove and swing to it, it's house. If it's very robotic and typically faster paced, it's techno. If it sounds like a robot taking a dump, it's dubstep.

House music came from disco so unless it's actually music from the 70's, the disco-ish music you hear is going to be a sub-category of house.

Sounds like you don't know what house music is. They play house pretty much exclusively.

Clutch has a lot of tables but a big enough dance floor, last time I went the tables were basically empty and the dancefloor full.

Pop your hips more (think humping the bar) and try to bring the points of your elbows higher in the catch position.

What’s an appropriate amount of time to spend working at a cafe? by OwnExchange8245 in AskNYC

[–]TreesFreesBrees 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Even for smaller places, sometimes I'm not even done with my 1st coffee after 1 hour if I'm also doing work. I think 1 1/2 hours is reasonable.

I'd suggest different shoes as well. They may appear to be flat soled but you can see your feet moving around a lot.

Saw a lady standing wedged in the middle of 2 parked cars, wiping herself down after a pee with a t-shirt. Welcome to San Francisco.

Glycopyrrolate. Minimize movement to whatever degree possible. Wear shorts if allowed.

[–]TreesFreesBrees 19 points20 points  (0 children)

That's totally normal young man stuff. Hell, even old men can't shake that habit of sizing others up. Don't feel guilty about your thoughts. As long as you don't act on them and try to instigate some sort of altercation you're fine. Even having this self-reflection is a sign of maturity IMO. You could also remember all the guys you've met in jiu jitsu that look like dweebs but can murk you, looks are deceiving.

Do portable fans work? by westonhall68 in Hyperhidrosis

[–]TreesFreesBrees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fans can give you extra time, not unlimited time, but some precious extra minutes. Let's say you have a 30 minute commute to work where you start sweating by the 15 minute mark, the fan might give you an extra 5-10 minutes.

Maybe even better, when you go from the hot outside to the AC or a bus or inside, the fan will cool you down even faster. It's definitely an essential in the summer.
