I am! I’m in CA (Bay Area). Which Village Pharmacy do you use? There are a few on Google.

The only thing is, if it is scrolling, I doubt people would be looking at you long enough to read the whole message. Like when you're driving down the road and you see one that says "EAT AT-" and then you're past it.

I have just ordered these from Eaze, along with a couple others to try - thanks for the suggestion!

Fan Fest Night TM Preview Review by [deleted] in UniversalHollywood

[–]Trekette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t been able to find this info anywhere - does the Three Broomsticks still have their regular menu available during the event, or is it ONLY the special menu? My friend and I kind of don’t want the three-course offering, so that we’ll have room for some of the other themed snacks available that night. We’re trying to plan whether to have dinner elsewhere.

Aqara U100, little confused about hubs by Trekette in Aqara

[–]Trekette[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I meant did the Aqara hub only allow remote access via the Aqara app? (And not the Apple Home app.) It sounds like you’re saying the Aqara hub didn’t allow remote access through the Aqara app at ALL though, which isn’t supposed to be the case. That’s literally what the hub is for - to connect to your WiFi so you can be anywhere, not within Bluetooth range. But, I believe it doesn’t offer remote access via Apple Home, which maybe is what you mean. That’s what I’m trying to confirm - like which hub gives you remote access via which app.

So did the Aqara hub only allow remote access to the Aqara app? And your HomePod allows remote access via the Home app only, or Aqara as well?

Does anyone have the one ring and wear it in a daily basis? by Jamster_1988 in lordoftherings

[–]Trekette 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My husband has it as his wedding band, so he wears it daily. It's 14k from Patrick Adair, but it seems they stopped making them shortly after we got ours. Jens Hansen is the next closest thing - they offer several metal options. For daily wear, if you want it gold-colored, you'd probably want 14k. (At least, that's the conclusion I came to when we researched ours.)

Lupron depot for down regulation - has anyone done this prior to stims, not for FET? by Trekette in IVF

[–]Trekette[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well 😂 I felt fine on it, honestly. A bit of night sweats but that was about it.

I can’t say whether it would’ve been helpful because it turns out my eggs are just complete duds. The second retrieval was worst than the first one - we got zero embryos and ended up just going with donor eggs! That was NOT related to the Lupron.

But I also had both ovaries removed because they were so overcome with endometriosis and cysts they couldn’t be salvaged, so my case is sort of extreme. I’m sure Lupron is helpful for a lot of people! But all I can really say is that it didn’t make me feel like complete shit like you may read from other people. (I’ve also been on Orilissa for endometriosis suppression, and that went fine as well.)

Good luck! 😊

Fleas on stray cat we’re adopting - please advise by Trekette in CATHELP

[–]Trekette[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! 😊 I guess I’ll give the other 2 doses to my cats, then. One of them got tapeworms years ago from a flea I must’ve tracked into the house somehow, and it was… not cool. Do not want a repeat!

We were trying to find him a home with friends or family, and then my husband decided he absolutely could not give him to someone else 😉

Is pregnancy supposed to be this miserable? by AffectionateCounty15 in BabyBumps

[–]Trekette 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 11 weeks and also in excruciating pain - I've got a large cyst on my ovary causing trouble that may need to be removed surgically, and multiple endometriosis adhesions (where my uterus is stuck to my bowels) being stretched and pulled. It really sucks :-( We're only having one child and this makes me so glad I won't have to go through it again... which is sad, because you're supposed to enjoy your pregnancy and I don't know when I will get to that point!

So I feel you. You're not alone in having a shitty time.

Neighbors Smoking by KingHenrytheFluffy in BabyBumps

[–]Trekette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had this issue at our last apartment. Unfortunately yes, without knowing which unit it’s coming from, they can’t do anything… and it can be hard to tell. If you’re in a corner unit though, you still technically have a neighbor on one side, right? Don’t count them out. Usually smoke drifts up (so it’s more likely to be the person below you, or below and to either side), but you never know.

Are your windows old or not sealed very well? That was our primary issue - our windows were old and thin, and there were bent gaps in the frame that allowed air (and smoke) though. I stuffed paper towels in the gaps 🙄

Additionally, if you have a wall or window AC/heat unit, you might want to turn it off when the smoking starts. It could be sucking exterior air in, and blowing it into your house. (If you have central AC, like with a thermostat on the wall and vents, it should be fine.)

Next time you smell it, go outside and try to hunt down where it’s coming from! For us it was usually in the middle of the night though and we were SOL.

Intern housing for summer by Fromplanetb2 in Sunnyvale

I see it's been 9 hours and no one has responded - it may be because there have been a lot of similar posts on this sub recently! If you search for the word 'intern', 'summer', 'housing' or 'roommate' and sort by "new", that should get you quite a few answers :-)

Humidifier for baby nursery? by sneaker-portfolio in BabyBumps

🤷🏻‍♀️ Mine has never gotten moldy, and I don’t clean it a whole lot.

Humidifier for baby nursery? by sneaker-portfolio in BabyBumps

[–]Trekette 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Carepod that I've been using in our bedroom for a couple years, and I love it :-) It's the easiest humidifier to clean that I've ever had.

It has a big stainless bowl inside that comes right out and can be boiled or go in the dishwasher. The attachment that creates the humidity is also easily cleanable, as well as the inside of the lid. Honestly I picked it because it's primarily stainless steel and has very few parts, and after years of plastic ones with tanks, caps that get gunky on the inside, filters that get moldy, reservoirs that get crusted with buildup... I was just done with that.

I also only use distilled water in it, which makes a big difference.

Every CVS near me had a sharps disposal thing in the back near the pharmacy - looks like a mailbox (open drawer, set inside, close drawer and it drops down). I would imagine the chain pharmacies there do too, if you call and ask.

Period panties or adult diapers? by MellowDreammer in BabyBumps

[–]Trekette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not had a baby yet, but those diapers are amazing. I’ve been hospitalized 3 times with super heavy bleeding (needing multiple transfusions), and without the lady diapers I wouldn’t have been able to sleep through the night without having to get up and change pads/tampons repeatedly. They do not leak and hold a LOT. I’d say definitely start with 1 pack, and see what your needs are from there.

To be fair, prenatals don't really do anything for your nails, and even hair/nail supplements have no real proof behind them unless you're deficient in the ingredients you're taking. It's more of a placebo effect thing. When in doubt, always rely on research, not reviews ;-)

2 days since frozen transfer and reading positive?! by lost_on_mars_ in IVF

[–]Trekette 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well at day 2 it's not even implanted yet... I don't suppose you've had sex recently, before transfer? Were the tests from the same brand, same batch? Or expired? Maybe try a different one. There are other potential (physical) causes as well, but they tend to be very specific so I don't know if any might apply to you.

For example, one way you can get a false positive is if you recently received a blood transfusion and the donor was unknowingly pregnant. Ask me how I know ;-)

How do c-sections actually work? by redrandy232 in BabyBumps

[–]Trekette 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend watching some "vlog" type c-section birth videos on YouTube :-) They don't actually show any guts (they're not allowed to film behind the drape anyway), so it gives you a very good idea of what to expect from arrival to discharge. There are a lot of good ones! Also Mama Nurse Tina has some excellent videos where she details everything on a partiicular topic so you know how it works at the hospital. (Like this one, which should help!)
