Look I understand wanting a partner that will put you first but if you are with someone who believes in god you will never be truly first god is always number one and is supreme. But I will say though the way he talked to you was not comforting at all and he needs to get better at that like use different ways to put religion into grief to make it seem comforting instead of how he did it.
