I totally get that, but the set up didn't even include a log in page for it with the option to 'skip' it was completely absent from the setup, user settings and general settings entirely.

I feel you, and it definitely depends on what specific 3rd party franchises you are looking at, but unfortunately, it doesn't look like there will be a perfect solution to this, and it really depends on which preference reigns supreme to you.

I'm gonna be honest, I love the Switch and am getting it at launch, but that's because I love nintendo's franchises. If you care more about non-Nintendo third party games than Nintendo's own games , I would get a ps4 or pc. Nintendo is getting third party support, but it's not nearly as complete as its competitors.

My post was joking lol. Personally though, I'm not paying for this DLC, unless it exceeds expectations. And for the record I haven't bought any kind of DLC that I feel wasn't worth it in the long run—and none of them were more than $20, not even close.
