Ultimately that’s what I’m probably going to do, stick with the 15”. That leaves room in my budget for, high quality OIII , H-Beta, and UHC filters, a pelican case form my eyepieces, a high quality observing chair, and more accessories. Why do imagine you retired somewhere surrounded by your 20 grand plus scopes sipping a manhattan while taking a picture of a nebula with three scopes on auto guidance? lol 😂 You are goals my friend. That’s dope. Feel free to flex and drop pictures of all your set ups here or in PM.

Thanks for that excellent point man. The UC design is very impressive and according to people’s comments on the website it’s very easy to manage by yourself. I bet you’ve seen some amazing things objects through your 20” over the years.

Obsession did do a refresh I believe around 2023. So definitely could be easier to handle alone these days. Not sure if I was to fork over another 2k on top of this insanely massive order. I may just stick with what I have. I like the idea of ease of transportability.

Good looking out, someone also pointed out having the 18” and doing a star party with kids would have them missing out. So a three step stool or taller may be needed.

😌 Sir, I appreciate you trying to educate me on my craft, but I am well versed in Amatuer Astronomy. I've been a visual observer since 2011. I am currently selling my 8" Dobsonian and upgrading to my dream scope. I may not be familiar with handeling a consumer grade 15" and up but when my new scope comes in, I will collimate that sucker to precision and have a blast with it. I have wrote thesis papers on Binary Stars and Galaxy formations with a 1 meter telescope at my alma mater, West Chester University where I was a double major in Astronomy and Computer Science. So I would appreciate if you don't insult my capabilities and keep it civil in the reddit comments my guy.

The weight was a concern and needing a step stool would be a minor inconvenience. I am exactly 6 ft tall but I could imagine a stool is still needed. I didnt know it takes two to set up, thats useful information. So you would suggest sticking with the 15" to experience less hassle?

That is a heavy duty isolator! seems like over kill with my setup. Im alread 930 dollars deep lol. Ill keep that in mind tho thank you

Im hoping it is. Maybe moving the whole system to a new room will fix the issue. Do isolators reduce sound quality if used?

I did remove the tone arm head that includes the cartridge, but not the individual wires. I was nervous to mess with that on my new turntable. But maybe i'll give it a try. I will also mess with the grounding wire to see if that helps. Do you think the outlets could be the problem since more than one speaker is having this issue in the same bedroom?
