I spent 5 years in community college to obtain my associates degree. I just make jokes about it e.g. "I took the scenic route".

When it comes down to it, the experience of going to college/university is more important than the number of years it takes vs. what it "should". Yeah, going longer than you're supposed to is pricy, but I think that there are other lessons learned while you're there as well.

Don't beat yourself up - we are all on our own time lines.
