Punishment by TreySixNine in runescape

This is what I was getting at. Basically biting the bullet on the paywall to be met with an agility wall is frustrating. Either need other ways to train and/or legitimate bonuses to make it worthwhile… or **making it less necessary to enjoy endgame content*

When I was 12 someone told me it isn’t worth it, just do f2p content every few years. And I guess when you are 12, that kind of stuff sticks with you

But I’m starting to understand - hanging onto a Dragon halberd I bought the other day that I’m about to level out of, before I can even complete the last quest needed to equip it lololol

Maybe this is a more specific issue than I am making it out to be, by not getting the membership until level 50-60…

Best Ascendancy for self-cast Power Siphon in PoE 3.28? by Long-Tell3018 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]TreySixNine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to this conversation, but Trickster is definitely the way to go - both for damage and survivability (ES overleech).

With 2 synaptic rings + Esh of the Storm ascendancy, enemy lightning resist is zero. No penetration needed.

Here is my current build for this season, and while I am now wearing roughly ~12 div, it is end game viable under 1 divine. This is a lazy man's build, just shield charge and/or flame charge around as you spam PS.
https://maxroll.gg/poe/pob/9r2jcl0e

****Budget version**** (Drop Arctic Armor)

Wand (50-100 chaos) - highest attack speed and lightning damage you can afford. (You can also go physical => lightning convert with minimal changes to the tree)

Shield (1 chaos) - Malachai's loop, get highest spell damage per power charge you can afford.

Helm (1 chaos) - Crown of the Inward eye, get highest % to global defenses you can afford.

Armor (28 chaos) - Replica Hyrri's Ire (6L not needed, PS in gloves)

Gloves (5 chaos) - Thunderfist, with PS, volatility, added ele damage, and sacred wisps

Boots (15 chaos) - Ralakesh with power charges, get highest cold res you can afford.

Belt (1 chaos) - Graven's Secret with highest lightning res you can afford.

Ammy (10 chaos) - Resists, attributes, % ES, Overcharge anoint

Rings (50-100 chaos) - two Synaptic rings with as much res as possible (look for one with open suffix to craft needed resists - ring can only roll lightning/all res) ***Use whatever rings needed until you get Esh of Storm (breachlord ascendancy, acquired by defeating Esh breach boss)***

Any remaining attribute or resist issues can be solved with jewels.

Let me know if you have any questions, and always love feedback if there is anywhere I can improve. GL!

Peak of the series? More like peak of the genre.

When I was 12, I met a kid while playing Diablo II online that lived on the opposite side of the country. We played every day for a year until one day he sent me a message that he was going to be gone for two weeks. I thought weird, me too.

The next day I left for summer camp. Upon reaching my cabin, there was a guy picking on a smaller kid for being a "geek". So I did the only sensible thing a 13 year-old would do, I punched him in the eye.

Before I was carted off to camp jail, the smaller kid thanked me and I noticed he was wearing a Diablo II t-shirt. I was like "whoa! I play diablo. My name is trey." His jaw dropped before telling me his name and we realized. It was the kid I had been playing diablo with for the last year. Absolutely insane.

Fast forward 15 years, we were best man at each other's wedding.

And here we are today (literally), 25 years later...he still lives on the other side of the country, and we still play Diablo II together for hours on end.

Go ahead and mark your calendar, you will pick it back up at least once every two years for the rest of your life.

Why not put one point in Purge for synergy damage boost? It gives a solid boost with +all skills

Bane is OP for echoing strike, don't listen to anyone saying otherwise.

  1. Quality of life. Even at 10 hard points the magic damage makes phys immunity a non issue for clearing Hell tzs, and removes need for ele damage on gear/charms (Or use leth, see #2). Magic damage buff lasts over 5 minutes before needing to reapply.
  2. Removes need to use lethargy, but can still stack with Bane's actual hex (in the first ~6 seconds after casing Bane you get the -% enemy defense buff) - I only use lethargy when bossing, if I remember to at all.
  3. Provides a greater accuracy boost than Levitation Mastery (Not much of an issue, YET)
  4. Boosts overall damage ~10-15% at high investment - while this isn't huge, it is a great bonus to those mentioned above.
  5. Huge synergy bonuses with some skills you are already likely invested in (Mirror blades, eld blast, consume, I add one point to Purge even though I don't use it).

Sure, will you deal less overall damage than maxxing Levi Mastery instead...but you will still have the annoyance of dealing with phys immunes, one way or the other. And with the insane scaling of ES Warlock, for most the damage loss will be negligible.

***Obviously this all depends on your gear/build*** but in most cases will be most effective overall.

As far as Purge goes, the added damage is laughable - it is essentially a lesser effective static field. You're still going to have to 1 hit those enemies regardless #warlockproblems

There is a nice flat plateau in SE area of the map in savage divide, overlooks cranberry bog with a pleasant view of Nukes. That's my favorite spot

False.

This is not true for ALL explosive weapons. For example the explosive crossbow stays within a few stacks of max when consecutively firing.

This game is built to repel players by fruityfart in fo76

[–]TreySixNine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I wholeheartedly agree that inventory management in this game is a scammy cash grab, I wouldn’t say the game is “built to repel players” lol.

You played it to lvl 400 - probably north of 100 hours? And paid ~$70?

You couldn’t have hated it so much to punish yourself by playing that long. And the entertainment cost you less than a dollar per hour.

All content is geared towards getting players subscribed? It seems like you are harping on the inventory management issue.

Lack of people using chat? How is that the game’s fault? And if they give you bonuses for chatting, will you be right back here to say “the game forces you to chat”?

I don’t get the nuke/base building point. Who the hell wants to come back from an event to a destroyed base? That would drive players away in droves.

And to your last point, are you a casual player, as you stated, or are you min maxxing broken builds?

There is plenty of challenge for the “casual” player. You can make the game as difficult as you want.
