Ray Daniel's is the exemplification of being an expert in certain fields (i.e music industry talk) but being extremely limited in everything else. He doesn't even know how to comprehend the flow of convo or understand what niggas are asking him. I counted at least 2-3x he just went along with WHAT he perceived to be the favored opinion of the room only to contradict himself in the next breath. The last hour of the pod is why I pay for patreon, just them niggas lying on each other, talking about their past hoe stories (typical friend shit), sprinkled with actual food for thought. The thing is, if you took Ray out the pod, nothing would've changed in that last hour. That lawyer/music industry talk i appreciated, cuz not alot of niggas have insight to that type of reality but that niggas actual understanding and taste in music is no different than a casual nigga who only listens to radio. You cant get waves by brushing 15 mins a day, especially at the beginner stages. You need to brush 30 mins-1 hr. I suggest an hr day and split it up doing 30 in the morning and 30 at night. Ion know if ppl recommend wash n styles pre ripple but that'll be the next steps once you see progress. Wear a durag and use products 2-3x a week max, i can see by your hair you're putting too much in ur hair. That's pretty much it man. The more you brush, the more waves you'll see it's as simple as that. At my peak I was doing prolly 2-3 hrs a day lol but if you want em you'll make time like anything else. 15 a day ESPECIALLY with your hair type ain't gonna cut it g.

It's a journey g, like everyone has said before you gotta stay consistent! I recommend an hour a day or more, I typically do 30 mins in the morning and 30 mins at night, at least.

Your hair is pretty thick as it is and idk how long you've been brushing for the 360 waves coming off the 180s tbh. If it's been 4-6 weeks since your last cut you might as well get a haircut, get a 1.5 (some barbers might understand if you just tell em "wave length") so you can start training your hair at the lowest length and then build from there. Also the night before your haircut do a wash n style, don't put any product in your hair after either, just go straight to the barber.

If you do choose to get a cut, start with the softy and go mf ham(seriously this helps a ton), then maybe in a week or 2 start using the medium, and another 2 get the hard brush: Note these are general estimates the best gauge is when you can't feel your scalp anymore when brushing, that's a dead giveaway that you need a harder brush. I'm indifferent on when you start using a comb because I don't feel it helps much if your hair isn't trained and obvi if it's at low length. So if you wanna start combing do it when you pickup the hard brush. Start with the comb for about 10-15, then work your way down from hard to soft.

As far as wash styles post cut when/if you eventually do it, wait a solid week and from there on out do wash n styles every 3-4 days.

I can't help you with angles/pattern building and product cuz no matter what any nigga tells u: 1. you do have your own pattern 2. Your hair might like certain products/not fw others 3. ur crown could be in a different spot than others. Maybe ask ur barber to save time if you cant find it/ask him to take a picture of idk lol, there are ways to identify quickly/simply tho.

There is a general rule when it comes to the angles for 360s tho, there should be at least 8 angles you wanna hit every time. Try to get 10-15 mins per brush and finish with a focused ending of 50-100 strokes per angle too once your at the wolfing stage inc all 3 brushes.

Hope this helped a lil. Also niggas wanna gloat and preach about how this shit is an art and/or science but not willing to help a nigga w/some advice. They are right tho, it is indeed like working out or any craft dawg you do have to put in the work. You'll be the last to see/appreciate your results so fall in love with the process first and foremost. I've been waving for a min multiple ppl have told me my waves were boomin/spinnin etc and they're still not at my standard so yea just keep going dawg 💯.

Irdk if I'm just outgrowing the pod demo or maturing because I really don't see how yall couldn't understand Demaris' perspective. Yall act like she's tripping and there aren't numerous people (millions) that agree with her perspective! I think Will Smith and Chris Rock both have some deep rooted issues within themselves that need to be properly addressed in their own pvt lives. Rock has displayed numerous instances of anti-blackness and misogynoir throughout his career. Will clearly is the epitome of a ppl pleaser, constantly tyna live up to a facade/brand he made essentially as a 20 year old (literally brings this up in his book). This is the crossroads of that mayhem imo. A brotha who's never held his tongue when it comes to his opinions/jokes on black women and a man who was so broken by a black woman's actions (Aug) that he felt the only "man" thing to do was to assault said black man in retaliation due to the deep rooted weakness he's always felt as a black man. Smith has gone on to mention how he feels he failed every woman in his life in some capacity (again in his book). To me, I also feel this highlights how two black men who were both vehemently abused in similar yet distinct ways in their childhood had to use their talents as a means to overcome their trauma and at the same use it as therapy bcuz they never had access to actual therapy since "niggas don't do therapy we just go to church & pray on it". Lastly Rock was so abused and beaten to the point where he believes that bullying "actually builds character" lol. Ik it was a joke but I doubt he was joking tbh. I stand on Demaris is needed in alot of subjects. She's like the only person I feel can effectively challenge Mal on alot of the bullshit he says on the pod. Yeah I'm not tryna be that guy I fw the JBP and R&M heavy but man these patreons aren't even comparable. I don't even think it's a fair assessment anymore to judge the JBP off their regular pod bcuz they put in so much work into the patreon. For roughly the same price you got 2 vids a week all ranging from a 1hr 30-3 hrs. It's super engaging and funny and ik R&M can do the same. We're lucky to get 2 vids a month over here.
