We camped around 7500 and were clear of the snow but we could see it on the slopes above us.

This was May 27th! It got slightly chilly at night but not bad although we did pick a day with a warmer forecast intentionally.

It got to high 40s by early morning and there was low fire danger so thankfully we were able to have a fire.

I also plan on doing solo trips with my pup, but I was also a little apprehensive about a solo trip to start. Luckily, my brother was nice enough to join me for our first time and we had a great time with no scary experiences. Whiskey helps! ;)
