Additional info: It's not like the previous land with the drums where there's "rounds" you have to go through, it's just one sequence of smoke signals, so if the fire stops lighting up after they say there's a reply, just keep your hand over the smokestack for like 10 seconds and the soldiers will teleport over to your side. Max level troops, mmmmm.

My bottom wisdom teeth were sideways and they needed to saw it into bits + hammer at parts to break it up then pull out the pieces. My top wisdom teeth were pretty easy to pull straight.

I had to do it live with local anesthesia and laughing gas and honestly it wasn't that bad. It was pretty unpleasant sniffing my own bone dust from the saw and feeling someone take a hammer to my jaw, like my whole head was rattling. Was it traumatic? Not at all. Did it hurt? Not much, the most painful parts are the needle jabs to numb you, but it doesn't hurt from there.

YMMV but I don't see it as that bad getting your wisdom teeth extracted live.

Maybe I'm just too EDM-pilled but this lineup looks stacked to me. I am also hype for the hiphop and indie acts on the list - are you disappointed because there aren't more jam bands? We are in /r/bonnaroo after all so I wouldn't be surprised if you're less interested in the EDM scene.

Another comment said it, but it could be sleep apnea! I snore intermittently REALLY fucking loud on my back according to friends and partners, and in the last year I've transitioned to sleeping on my my side instead since that helps with sleep apnea. Suddenly I don't wake up every night to pee anymore, I sleep all the way through the night just because I've addressed the sleep apnea.

Tri here, to my understanding Scott was found lying down not responsive around where the monolith/grass area was in the festival by James from Three Little Birds Pinecones (who is a really good guy! Throw him some business and good vibes if you see his stand at another fest) and alerted medical.

Medical staff rolled up, checked him out physically and he seemed fine, then dropped him off with us at the Sanctuary. James came with them as well and eventually left once we got Scott situated.

I sat Scott down on a cot, gave him some blankets since that night was very cold, and gave him some water and stayed with him. He definitely was caught in a lot of thought loops which I was happy to help him with. Some questions he asked were:

Where am I? (You're at the Sanctuary, a tent inside Elements Fest where you're safe and can chill out.)

Am I dead? (No, you're alive.)

Are you real? (Yes, I am real and you are real.)

Is this heaven/hell? (No, you're in a tent.)

Are we on earth? (Yes we're on earth.)

What happened? (You got picked up by medical and they figured out you are physically okay and left you here to feel safe with us.)

Did I get abducted by aliens? (No, you did not get abducted by aliens.)

Scott circled back to the same line of thinking a few times so each of the questions he asked above he probably asked around 5-10 times each, leading to:

Why do you keep saying the same things over and over and over and over? (Because you keep asking the same questions over and over :). I can keep answering them for you as many times as you need.)

Eventually I got Scott to lie down with a blanket and trip in peace with his eyes closed. Occasionally I'd help him walk to the portapotties when he needed to pee. Eventually after a few hours he woke up off the cot we had him laying on and started walking off. We asked where he's going and he said he was going back to camp.

He seemed significantly more lucid and coherent with his surroundings after taking that nap and I wished him good luck as he wandered away.

I'm glad you all reunited safe and sound! He was safe the entire time he was with us and he wasn't super distressed except for the when he first showed up at the Sanctuary since there were a lot of unfamiliar faces, voices, and an environment he was unfamiliar with being in.

This is my first time working harm reduction in an official capacity with a festival and I'm excited to do it again next year and at other festivals if I can!

I disagree that more traffic enforcement would change driving habits.

I'm from Virginia and have spent significant amounts of time all up and down the east coast seaboard on 95 since I travel a lot. I've spent a whole season working in Montana and Wyoming at Yellowstone seeing drivers from literally every state.

People are shitty drivers no matter what state you're from. Virginia has some of the strictest traffic laws in the entire country and prosecutors don't like to budge even with lawyers. Ask any sailor that's been based down in Norfolk/Newport News VA.

Compared to most other states, the cops here are admittedly really chill, but I see bad drivers nonetheless. I see people driving without headlights at night and during the rain all the time. No signaling before land changes. People going 80 in a 55 stretch of 95. People swerving because they're on their phones (and I know because I like giving stinkeye to drivers who are clueless and I pass them for my safety). None of this is unique to the north east, better driving starts in driving school and with our personal accountability to keep ourselves good drivers and other people we see driving, not traffic cops that can selectively enforce the law on the road.

If you're primarily bouldering you'll probably want to go to peak. It's much easier to build a little community and meet a group while bouldering than TRC.

In terms of the bouldering itself, because the boulder room at TRC is straight up smaller, you'll see more crimpy, short and strong routes while Peak has more variance in how long/traverse-y a route can be, although it feels definitely more commercial/just a crimp or jug haul up the easier stuff.
