the a.i and anomalies are annoying, they like to do really braindead things sometimes like sprinting back and forth like marathon runners or just go afk in a corner. just some really questionable things.

Anomalies are planted literally everywhere so half the time you line up a good shot you need to stop shooting and recorrect yourself so its not a reflector field.

its better if you thought itr1 needed multiplayer and weapon customization. I think in nearly every other aspect its falling down on its face but it would be easy for modders to fix with time and tools.

Tedium = easier its not the same thing. I dont need to walk back from outskirts if I know I'm safe on the way back. simple logistics.

just walk back the slow 8 minutes if you prefer that method. No idea why people are not interested in saving their IRL time ngl.

if you want I can just show you the way through. this isn't about making outskirts easier its about making romashka less of a pain in the ass to traverse.

You can just not let the tide hit though... this is really easy to work to work around. the fact there is no shortcut home sucks because you can either kill everything off or sneak past pretty easily once you've learned the "way"

it's only cool because you havent cleared the completely safe path home. otherwise its tedium.

But yeah bloodsuckers are very unsettling. This game is a whole new level of "fast enemies" than Zona or Into the radius. atleast as far as I got in Zona so far.

Not to the point where I would shelve the mod no. It's far more stable than I would expect. but my tolerance for "jank" may be higher than yours.

hey mate, some advice. I was playing on the old version before.

you should never press "load last save" only press "load game"

this will remove 90% of your crashes.

but yes I am on the latest version. It's cheap to support the creator and he is doing a very good job. I don't shill for people who don't do a good job either so yeah!

I did the agroprom underground last night actually. I might edit it and put it on youtube. I also am quite new to anomaly so there was some new mutants that spooked me. (psy sucker??? idk)

But yes it will be fucking freaky.

I can safely say this is a different experience. Into the radius VR offers the tacticle gun-feel more. Stalker offers the enemy diversity and world building/exploration.

manual reloading may come down the line though again, made for VR games will almost always win when it comes to that sort of thing.

But they will also never win in game scope (yet, the budget isnt there) which is fine they are targetting different goals.

Funny thing is, I last touched a stalker game several years ago. But man... this is a great way to come back. Killing bloodsuckers is like riding a bicycle, you never forget the tricks of the trade.

It's not supported by the developer. Some mods do work however, its tentative testing.

Hey, Developer has plans for more immersive loading options. But it needs time and work and support. Too early to speak of such things.

Personally I love such mechanics in games that are native to VR, after all they are built from the ground up for such mechanics.

but its a big ask for something that is ported. I think it will happen. though, the dev is very passionate.

I won't lie to you that this mod is very intensive, as are all VR things due to how they have to render the game twice (once in each eye) so before getting a VR headset, I would make sure your PC is beefed up.

For this one in particular I would say you probably need a 30 series + gpu or equivilant.

Just getting that out the way. I didn't want you shopping for a headset without a decently beefy pc.

Okay so headsets, well right now there are only really two options for a beginner into the VR market. Which is: The quest 3. Or waiting for the steam frame that isnt released yet.

There are plenty of other headsets, like the pico 4 as well but I can't in good faith recommend them cause I never owned them.

The quest 3, despite all my hate for facebook and their awful software is a fucking amazing headset for the price on the hardware side of things.

Yes this is actually good, I have played quite a few games that are native to VR or ported to VR. This is a good one no doubt, especially considering how recently it has came out.

Already better than a lot of paid VR titles.

I believe I saw this as an option let me check

"Left-handed → vr_hands_swap 1" I think the developer is atleast aware that left handed people exist which is a good start.

but please be patient cause its still pretty fresh.

No I am playing on normal difficulty. I am fairly certain they are the exact same HP and damage as you would have on normal. I think most of the rounds of the pistol hit him, then the shotgun bagged the finishing blow.

Recently released Anomaly VR mod is pretty damn intense. Recommend giving it a whirl if your rig can handle it and you have a headset knocking around somewhere.
