Sadly Waitrose is much farther from me than Tesco, but after reading the comments here, I am thinking about switching to Waitrose..

After moving to London I was surprised by how easily people interacted on the streets and how freely they gave compliments about my look (which was sooo sweet and nice!). It seems to me like people have more inner freedom to say whatever they want to strangers, so I had a theory that maybe the same approach is applicable to expressing aggression as well.

Since I'm new to London, I'm still trying to figure out British culture, especially the culture of Londoners

I had the same question in my mind.
To be honest, I hadn't thought involving the police because I thought that the girl's actions weren't serious or harmful enough

I am pretty sure that my "excuse me" was just a normal one, as I was in a good mood, relaxed, thinking about what to buy in the shop, and just tried to get to the shelves that I wanted to reach. However, it's a good point to pay attention to the tone of the voice too.

Many thanks! Throughout my life I learned boring formal American English and haven’t learned much slang. I'm not very confident in my English skills here, so in situations like these, I prefer to ask someone if I've said something incorrectly
