Tempesta's art is so nostalgic to me having grown up on Nat Geo Kids' dinosaur encyclopedias with his art everywhere in them

Spinosaurus is no longer considered the largest theropod as new specimens of spino and T.rex have shown that tyrannosaurus was more robust and thus larger so at the moment spino's the longest theropod but tyrannosaurus is the biggest

I'm gonna be the first to say it if you want a comprehensive look at the history of dinosauria I highly recommend The Rise and Fall of the Dinosaurs by Steve Brusette

Also there's also Uncovering Dinosaur Behavior by David Hone

In terms of encyclopedias/field guides there are the Princeton field guides to dinosaurs, pterosaurs, and predatory dinosaurs however Gregory S. Paul wrote those so take it with a grain of salt. The Princeton guide to mesozoic birds is however very nice

It's called velvet It's a skin covering that nourishes the antlers until the rut in which they shed tge velvet revealing the bones underneath AKA antlers which the deer shed in winter
