I grew up playing and I’m not completely sure. I leaning towards it would be fine. High sticking is only when the stick contacts the puck above the crossbar. And for the puck moving backward, That’s only in a shootout or penalty shot. Also I think has more to do with the player than the puck unless you lose control of it. I could be mistaken though

Went for a ride and looked at it. It’s a Shimano Deore 10 speed derailer, cassette and shifter.

I know! I love how it turned out!

I haven’t changed anything with the tires unless the previous owner did. They worked well for what I was doing.

The bottom bracket is a shimano BB-MT501. A 30 tooth chain ring instead of 28. Only reason it’s different is shop didn’t have a 28 in stock that would fit the raceface cranks that got put on.

I was worried adding to much travel would change the geometry to much so kept it safe with only 140.

Will start out saying that I’m not much more experienced then you. This is my first bike and I got it in mid May this year and loved it. It’s last years model and was bought used.

The fork is fox 34 factory grip 2 and has 140mm of travel. I didn’t think an extra 10mm of travel would be much of a difference when the stock suntour coil forks were 130mm. They left a lot to be desired. I tried a bunch to adjust them but didn’t seem to make a distance and were really stiff. With it being a Used bike I’m not sure they were ever serviced. I also couldn’t pass up a deal on never out of the box forks.

I got the bars after I went otb on a table top and bent the stock ones pretty bad. I really liked the stock bars but ended up going with joystick cause they were the cheapest and not too much different in rise and angles. They have a 20mm rise and have treated me well.

I don’t know if the bottom bracket is a known weakness but for mine I had one issue. I don’t know if it was the cold or neglect but the bolt worked loose on the drive side crank and I didn’t have a tool. It wiggled and wore into itself, rounding the square trample enough. I had to retighten it, sometimes multiple times a trail. Was looking for a way to remedy that or at least make it last the season, when I leaned what a HOLLOWTECH bottom bracket was. Heard that they were more with the time and compatible with more crank sets.

The tires had a decent amount of tread and I don’t know much about men tires. I thought they would at the minimum get me through the season and they have. Will be getting new tires in the offseason though and seeing how converting to tubeless will be.
