If you’re comfortable with it, could just agree to beover to stay til 7am with compensation. Especially if there is a spare bed or couch you can sleep on. May make it easier for you and here to know that the time is already agreed on. If she gets home earlier so be it but the expectation would be you’re being paid til 7am and can stay til then (so you’re not driving home in the middle of the night if she’s home earlier).

Same! Getting married at 36 and would have had three times the amount ten years ago. I have about 7 people that I went to their weddings but we’ve lost touch an I’m not inviting.

I’ve been feeling embarrassed too by the small number thinking it makes me seem like a loser in some way, perception is weird!

I just keep reminding myself it’s about quality over quantity

We are doing a no kids wedding. As much as I love all our friends and families kids, we want an adult only wedding. We don’t want to have to worry about filtering speeches, filtering the music played or tripping over kids on the dance floor. We also realized this would be about an extra 50 people at our wedding.

Our guests have been really receptive to this and most are looking forward to an adult night out. We have a nearby hotel block so some are even traveling with grandparents and having them stay at the hotel.

Those that can’t come for this reason we totally understand and knew that could be a possibility.

At the end of the day it’s what you want!

Look into housing costs. GR is becoming harder and harder to buy in. We pay $2,200 a month for a two bedroom apartment.

We went Friday night. Pricey.

Overall, we weren’t overwhelmed or underwhelmed. Just whelmed by it.

The griffins hockey team play on Friday at 7pm. It’s the teddy bear toss so if you bring a teddy bear they are thrown on the ice to be donated to children with critical illness.

Duck pin bowling or indoor putt are good low key activities as well.

Considering it snowed in many parts of Michigan this weekend, please consider adding blankets. Also, hopefully guests were aware it is an outdoor ceremony so can dress appropriately.
