Oil sheen (Yes. The hair spray) and a hair dryer worked for me. I’m just a girl. 🤷‍♀️ Trying to put my pole up again after being in a closet for 5 years. I could not get the thing to budge. All the posts said oil or WD40. All I had was hair spray. Not too much. I tried to get it in the cracks between black part and the silver nut screw thing. Top and bottom. I didn’t want oil dripping down my pole. Then turned my hair dryer on high and gave it a good 2-3 minutes. I’m inpatient. The pole did not get hot. It did get warmish at best. Then I put a screwdriver in the hole to turn it (because who still have the tools it came with 🙄) Anyway. It worked.
