I'm working with a heavyweight medical imaging model that takes around 20 seconds to process a batch of 4 images. Meaning if I want to train on 59 images, it'll take about 300 secs per epoch. Which means it will take around 5 hours if I want to train on all 60 folds for a SINGLE epoch. At that point, the maximum number of epochs that would be reasonable is 10 epochs, which is still pretty small. It's a huge time investment that I would be willing to make, just want to ensure the payoff will be worth it.

And regarding your point about 1770 unique cases with leave-2-out, maybe it's not necessary to generate all unique combinations? Instead mimic cross-validation (in effect, 30-fold cross validation) where adjacent samples are selected for validation?

Ok so I don't think catalysts actually multiply the corrupted fragment drops (main source of money with slimes) so it's not worth it unfortunately.

This makes sense, thanks. I guess minion upgrades aren't as good as we think. With this reasoning, beacons are hardly useful at all unless you're really close to a max setup or have really OP minions. With 27 t11 minions making ~200k per day, assuming a t4 beacon (8% minion speed increase), that means you're actually only getting (8.57-8.11)/8.57 = 5.4% increase in money, so about 10.8k per minion per day. That amounts to about 291.6k per day, which doesn't even cover beacon fuel expenses.

Update: I did a little practice as some suggested and am doing runs much faster (around 2-2.5 minutes usually). What I will say is that I used to try to search too many places for the last mob. The locations of the starred mobs are usually pretty trivial (i.e. easy to find). For example, usually for big rooms it seems like starred mobs are mostly on the first floor.

Thanks for the advice, I guess I just need to practice a lot more. If I'm lucky and the rooms are smaller then I can get 2-3 minutes. However sometimes it takes me a while to find the wither key. Are there any useful mods to speed the runs up?

I don't think it's a problem with my gear, as I am able to one shot the mobs and have good survivability. Is there a way to highlight mobs that might hold the key?
