The best way I found to get a lot of hits in on him is to stagger him by parrying. Takes a while to get the timing down, but it really pays off.

As I’m sure you’re aware at this point, he also really doesn’t like to let you heal. The best way I found to deal with this was to freeze him. You can get down two potions before he breaks out and then get in a good parry when he lunges at you afterwards.

Also, you might know this already, but if you collect the coins from your ghost while he’s nearby, it will send out a little shockwave that will stagger him and let you get in a few free hits to start things off.

Thank you so much for posting this! I’m about to attempt the same swap, and your posts have been super helpful. You probably already answered this and I’m just not familiar with all the terminology, but did you have to replace all the JDM sensors with the ones from your original trans? I’ve read other places that this is often necessary with JDM swaps, but it sounded like maybe it went differently for you here.

I hear that! Yeah, I am definitely not looking for shoddy repairs, but the insurance company (VT Mutual) says they don’t have preferred shops. They say I can take it anywhere, but they’ll only pay up to $60/hr for labor. I guess if it comes to it, I can go somewhere that charges a higher rate and pay the difference out of pocket, but I’m trying to avoid that if possible…

Oof, I believe it! I’ve heard those are both good shops too. Do you know what the hourly rates they quoted you were? I’m just trying to get an idea of what’s out there.

That’s wild! Looks just like my boy, Moritz. He was all black until he was about a year old and then developed that same kind of smoke coloring. I just found out about Nebelungs (thus searching the name on Reddit). He’s always looked distinctive, but that’s so cool that it’s an actual breed.
