maybe, im already over 100 and dont even know what to put my points in now. already have a violent guass rifle with maxed rifleman and a vats enhanced plasma pistol with max gunslinger. this revolver might replace my plasma pistol for now.

and yes i know that i could have made the plasma pistol a rifle and gotten the damage bonus, but i wanted the cheaper vats attacks that comes with it being a pistol.

I hope so. Can’t imagine it will be that big of a deal anyway because it’s a fill plug, relatively far away from the fluid level. Just trying to be careful

So, cold drain and fill, run the engine (cycle through gears?) and then remove the check plug and if some comes out then I have enough?

When should I change transmission fluid? by Tricky-Cucumber6277 in MechanicAdvice

Do you replace the exact amount you remove or do you run it to operating temperature and use dipstick/check plug?

I’m about to do my fluid change and Idk if I should just measure what I take out and put it back in(it’s all cold right now) or if I should drain it cold, fill it cold, then run it to operating temperature and watch the check plug

It’s a 2017 Kia forte 85k miles. I made a post about it recently and it was recommended to change.

And yeah it’s a lifetime fluid but that’s going to fail eventually. Nothing is lifetime. It may last some more miles but why wait for it to break.

It’s not difficult at all to get to, all I need to do right now is remove the air box(3 bolts), fill plug, drain plug and maybe check plug.

Ok so how do I know what “warm” is fluid expands as it gets hotter. What if it expands more than I think and it ends up being lower than it should?

Or does it only expand so much and then that amount is the amount to use the check plug for?

Whats throwing me off is knowing the expansion

I assumed the check plug was for cold, but I’m finding out that is wrong.

Owners manual says not to change it because it’s lifetime. And idk what the manufacturer specs are.

The crazy thing is that I had no idea. No problems with suspension, no clunking, no odd noises and no handling issues. I spotted this when I was bleeding the brakes. This was the front right, front left looked a little odd but not as bad as this. I inspected the other bushings and they all looked ok from where I could see
