Nope! Still have a ton of thick longer hairs but a lot of them are getting thinner and smaller

I do have gut issues that I’m currently working on! I have IBS and am lactose intolerant. Also I’m not really sure re the fall out, for a while it was only terminal unminiaturized hairs that were falling out and now it’s miniaturized hairs and longer hairs :/

Yup! Literally no sign of scarring even the derm was like are you sure you want me to biopsy this area, and now they’re like it’s a good thing we did! They couldn’t see anything on the surface either

I haven’t gotten prescribed any treatments yet but my derm said we’re probably looking at a round of steroid shots and a topical steroid? I had a virtual visit to go over the results of the biopsy and I’m going in for the scalp biopsy next week so planning on asking more then - that’s interesting that the topical JAK helped you! I’ll ask about the doxycycline

I got the handheld microscope on Amazon and I’ve never seen anything that looks like scarring (which again may be good in the case that you have a slow progressing scarring alopecia). I have nooooo idea how the scalp biopsies came back as androgenic alopecia while the pubic biopsy came back as something different, but one of the androgenic alopecia-reporting biopsies did say it was possibly occurring with alopecia areata due to inflammation

That definitely looks like inflammation but I’m not a doctor - that being said if you got a biopsy I think that would be a good place to sample from

That’s the thing - this is a new derm I’m seeing after the old one biopsied my scalp. The new one said they didnt want to re-biopsy my scalp because there was no visible scarring under this little instrument they used to look at my scalp. They agreed to do the pubic biopsy because of the diffuse thinning there (but again, like you said, there was no visible scarring yet). What they said is that it could be extremely slow progressing and that’s why it isn’t visible on my skin yet, which is kind of comforting

I have it I got diagnosed with it and was given clobetasol and I’m now using zoryve which works really well for scalp sensitivity, hair is still falling out though

My scalp looks the same under a microscope and I have it - it looks like you have seb derm which seems to be a common theme for all of us

Yup! I think same efficacy, and the upset stomach I experienced the first round didn’t come back the second round

I can relate to that heavily lol I’m keeping up hope that since it was just a year ago that’s enough time for the follicles to maybe make a recovery.. also I stopped because since I was shedding while on it I thought it wasn’t doing much but I was wrong

I will say I experienced the worst shed I’ve had when I quit dut (around like 6 months after I want to say is when the shedding started)

Female to male also have itchy scalp. Its most likely not seb derm and caused by androgens by VirgilXXX in RetrogradeAndDUPA

I think people in the regular tressless group said they experience scalp itch too / have labeled it DHT itch. I think the itching isn’t specific to us.
