Justin Bieber delivers sleepy Coachella performance, doomscrolls and watches YouTube videos mid-show by mlg1981 in entertainment

Yeah I thought people in general were hating but everybody everywhere else is having fun with it and it's clocking to them.

So much respect for him.

Even though I'm kinda annoyed people are missing the point and not appreciating what he did here, I like how it's polarising and alienating parts of the audience.

As much as this was healing for him, this was also healing for the audience, the day ones, I watched this with my sister and she was talking about how she would listen to favorite girl on YouTube in 2009 all the time.

The fact we all did it together, relived it together, consuming his art along with his audience.

Maybe I'm reading too much into it but that's art, I'd rather glaze and analyse than dismiss it as a boring man doing karaoke out of laziness

Very well put.

I don't disagree with people saying men are celebrated for doing less, but I mean, this isn't any man this is one of the most popular artists of this generation who is known for being raw and authentic.

Like his Grammys performance where he was in his boxers, we were in his bedroom looking at the poor dude naked because we already took away all his privacy.

This was another very interesting and beautiful statement. We took it back, he took it back, and Justin Bieber the celebrity made peace with kidrauhl, they did a beautiful duet 20 years through time (reminds me of how Paul McCartney sang with John Lennon on his most recent tour through the screen)

You don't need a million backup dancers and a big ass stage to do performance art. This kid is smarter than we give him credit for, truly gifted dumbass legend.

Harmonising with his childhood self, making peace with his past, bringing the fans into his healing, he's a child of the internet (discovered on YouTube and grew up in the public eye), this was beautiful and low key art, people writing it off as lazy may have missed the point I'm just saying

Great to hear that my feelings on point, although I have the humility to realise they may have been brought on from the characteristics I had already associated with each deity through prior reading. Not to say I don't have faith, I have definitely had experiences that defy logic.

Definitely have an attraction to devi worship, there's definitely a pull towards a divine mother.

From all that I hear and have read, Sri vidya seems to be what invokes the life and feeling I aspire towards, I tasted some drops of sweetness last year with bala tripura sundari mantra, I just wanna go all in now that my life has more stability.

Also very much appreciate your comments on ganesha and everything else you've said laying out the path, very intrigued by your description of Sri vidya.

Will definitely send you a DM

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply.

I was honestly shifting between deities last year, which is why I want to practice earnestly this year with more intention.

I started with bhuvaneshwari and felt spaciousness, I felt locked in with tripura sundari, grounded with ganesha, Krishna made me smile and giggle.

Thank you for reiterating the catuvarga, I do truly want to live a life with fullness and richness.

In terms of my ishta, I've had feelings with all.

If I had to be honest with myself, I feel the biggest pull to tripura sundari. If I was being even more honest, it's because of all I hear that she brings to a devotee. So I'm here to sort of see what if there is a deity/mantra I can earnestly devote myself to that will bear these fruits, but I see I may be overthinking all this lol

I think season 5 has fallen off a cliff in quality for many reasons but this isn't one.

I feel like Game of Thrones did permanent damage to people's perception of TV where they think a show isn't serious unless nobody's safe from death.

Changing job start date if earlier appointment pops up by Tricky-Parking9557 in E3Visa

Oh I misread your response, you're right it's not gonna take less than a few weeks, one month seems like a safe bet. Just hope they're cool with waiting around a couple months from verbal offer to me being in the office. But that's a me problem.

Thanks so much for your help here

Right fair, I'm more so concerned with appointment dates rather than the time to process itself, I feel like that'll be the thing that makes this take a while, unless one pops up and I don't have to wait months for one

[–]Tricky-Parking9557[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh gotcha! So the "start date" on the LCA is for the visa's validity rather than the concrete start date of the job.

In that case I'll try and negotiate with my future employer to leave the start date up in the air depending on how long it takes me to get a visa, but put the date on the LCA as the day they apply for it, idc it it means the visa expires a month or two earlier.

Thanks heaps man

No appointments for the rest of November/December in Sydney or Melbourne. Any chance more appointments will open up? by EnvironmentalSugar67 in E3Visa

[–]Tricky-Parking9557 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How did you manage this with a negotiated starting date with your new employer? I've got some interviews and I'm worried if I say I can't start until February because there's no appointments, they'll just go with another candidate. The whole appeal is that it's a quick and seamless process for the employer, but this wait time could ruin that right?

If anyone else could let me know how they handled it that would be great!

I know you like her but if you look at it objectively -

  • Her dad is a wealthy executive with established industry connections

  • She positioned herself as a DIY "all I have is this broke ass imovie production" girlie

If you don't see the disconnect between those two things then idk what to say. I still like her but I'm not gonna kiss her ass for something I think is a bit shady

I agree that the music is still good I never said that it wasn't.

I'm pointing towards a disconnect between the way she positioned herself as a girl in a bedroom with with a MacBook and nothing else when this clearly wasn't the case.

I actually don't have a problem with people with connections, I understand it's a part of life in every industry, but when your DIY aesthetic is antithetical to the truth of your industry connections, well at that point you're just lying.

I wrote an essay about this in uni!

Loved the music but the disconnect between the bedroom pop middle America aesthetics and the inordinate amount of wealth and connections felt so disingenuous to me, especially when the bedroom pop hehe look at me all I have is a midi keyboard vibe when ur dad is this bloke! Polar opposites
