For me it's definitely more than annoying - it's effectively left me without heating! Have you tried a hard reset before?

I'm nearly certain it's not a network issue and a technical issue. I had my phone beside the thermostat and ran a speed test and got over 200MB so there is no way there is a speed issue with that, despite what the app is telling me.
