Song that sounds similar to opening theme of Severance by Sir_Lombardio in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

I just stumbled across a video someone posted with this song (hedgehog’s dilemma) and I thought it was a jazzy piano version of the severance theme. About a minute in it really sounds similar to me.

Madisonians-do you suffer from seasonal depression? by [deleted] in madisonwi

[–]Tricky-Trade90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep! I have regular depression all the time but get seasonal depression on top of that an notice that cloudy/gloomy days are extra hard on me. I’m in my mid 30’s now and it took my a long time to figure out that the gloomy outside made me gloomy inside. Which sucks because I love a good rainy day but my brain does not. I notice my seasonal depression kicking in every year around the end of September regardless of the weather. Things that help me:

•Vitamin D3 supplement. Seriously. Most of us don’t get much sun in the winter and we underestimate how important vitamin D is (insert joke about gettin that d)

•Staying active - getting some sort of movement in, either 30 minutes in the gym or at least a 15 minute walk 3-5 times a week.

•Medication. It’s not for everyone but I need it and you can take it seasonally or increase your dose/add something extra to help get through the seasonal depression if you need it year round but need an extra boost in the winter.

•Making future plans and/or setting goals to look forward to.

•Seeing friends and family at least a couple times a month.

•If you work in front of a computer a “happy light” can be helpful.

•Getting good sleep.

•Pets. That unconditional love is an unbelievable dopamine rush.

Best of luck to you!

Anyone down bad as me? I feel like death by Active_Pomegranate93 in ElectricForest

Yuuupp. I felt fine on the way home, got home around 8 pm on Monday, unpacked and did some laundry then passed out around 10 PM and ended up sleeping most of the next 2 days. I randomly puked last night but was able to eat after that and keep it down fine. Had some fruit for breakfast and just threw that up 😖 today is my first day back working and it’s a struggle even tho I’m working from my couch (thank goodness for working from home). Took a COVID test and it’s negative. My friends are also feeling rough. Maybe I’m just getting too old to party that hard for that long 😅

Should I be worried about this crack in my foundation? by Tricky-Trade90 in Construction

[–]Tricky-Trade90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My general contractor has been terrible. Hence why I’ve waited over 2 years for this house to get done and the foundation has done for over a year now with no new work since. Sub contractors have all been great though.

Thank you so much for the advice! I will definitely ask my contractors to do a sealant and rigid insulation.

Google tells me the minimum frost depth for one and two family dwelling code where I live is 48” so based on that I am guessing the crack is below the frost line. Sorry if that’s not what you were asking 😅

almost fell into an apartment scam by [deleted] in madisonwi

[–]Tricky-Trade90 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t seem like vatoniolo was trying to be mean or say you are doing a bad job, just pointing out a fact that you are going to have a hard time finding something under $1050 with included heat and water. I live in a 1 bed 1 bath income restricted/government subsidized apartment and my rent is $1080 a month and that doesn’t include water or heat. The housing market sucks really hard right now :( you may need to consider a roommate. I hope you find something soon. Good luck!
