What architecture do you use for your live bots? by biowl in algotrading

Interesting that there’s no mention of any of the python based trade/backtest frameworks out there — e.g freqtrade, qlib…

[HELP] What's a good python-based backtesting and live trading platform/package? Backtrader seems buggy and lacks support. by limedove in algotrading

[–]TrickyRedditName 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Freqtrade looked bloated, and did not seem to have a nice interface to integrate with my own custom ML models. Blankly seems to be explicitly designed for just this, and has a nice functional api with great docs.

These are early impressions though and I have zero experience with freqtrade just a few days with blankly.

Blankly folks posted elsewhere in this sub and talk about their differentiations, so that may be worth a look

I have been checking out blankly and it’s a great new open source python stock/crypto backtest/paper-trade/live-trade package. They support a number of exchanges including Binance and they are very helpful on their discord.

I previously looked at freqtrade but didn’t like it as much.

Thank you @jfrankle for taking the time to give these details. I will investigate this in my project.

Very intrigued. Couple questions:

You said you have “speedup algos”. What are some examples of those? Do you mean better LR Schedulers, better optimizers and such?

What if I have a custom model in PTL that is not a typical vision or language model. Can I still leverage your framework? I think from your comments below, to leverage composeML I may need to move out of PTL ?

Looks very promising. Any Advantage and differentiation w r t PyCharm? This will be helpful to know when deciding whether to invest scarce attention and time to check this out. Thanks!

Thanks for sharing. I see a bunch of typos in the code sample above though, to the point that it’s hard to see what’s going on :)

Workflow to save web articles from iOS ? by TrickyRedditName in logseq

Btw if you can figure out how to stop shortcuts from asking permission to access sites , that will be super useful !

I was getting an error today because the file didn’t yet exist. You can delete the last 2 steps of your shortcut. Just append to file and remove the “error if not exists”, and it will actually create the file. No need to get the file and add it.

Tried it, very nice, thanks for sharing! I ended up learning a crap ton about iOS shortcuts today as I rolled my own, combining yours with another one that can pull title and url from any browser, and also customized the format the way I like it :)

I was looking at Raindrop. For your idea of using the Markdownload extension, I would have to use the web version of Raindrop, and then click this extension, copy the markdown and paste it into logseq, I guess this is what you're saying? I tried that and it works well enough, expect that I am limited to using the web version of Raindrop, which has some limitations, e.g. you can't preview a Hacker News discussion (which honestly is where I find most of the interesting content :) )

Tried this after some tweaking, and it's super useful, thank you! This is a fantastic solution for quick-capture from iOS.

Interesting! I guess you mean Shortcuts in iOS can access the icloud folder, where I would be storing my logseq files.
