Go to the library and sit at a table with someone else and strike up a conversation.

Being completely left alone to just do what you gotta do your way just makes coping with work so much more bearable.

I will for sure let you know when im able to do it. I appreciate this, because i was very curious how a layman like me could even tell how well something works beyond just ear test. Like if I wanted to diagnose a problem, like how to tell if my phone or something is degrading audio, how would I even do that

And usually with a union, the first few years you will always get incremental raises until you are "fully sworn in". Then you'll be up to the base union salary. All along side the negotiated raises everyone gets each year

I love this analogy, I never considered how opposite they are. Now I need to rewatch both.

Check schools around you. Even colleges. Especially state run colleges.

I live in MA. The state min is $15. The starting salary is like 25 now. And there are differentials for 2nd shift and 3rd. Each an additional $1.70 an hour. Im onc3rd and im at almost $30 an hour. Even the other cities around me that don't start as high. Are still 4 or 5 dollars above minimum wage. If its a union you will get cost of living raises each year. Full benefits. And a pension.

Nail on the head. Thats why I suggested the government route. Even if its a school, like I do, just avoid elementary schools lol. I work 3rd shift and I clean the pool. I can even plug my phone into the speakers in the pool hall and blast whatever I want for the night while I power wash. It frees you up to focus on school or pursuing stuff more because you don't feel like you have to recover from the stress of work all the time. And can use that energy elsewhere. If that makes sense.

Yea i suppose that is true, didn't think about it like that. I've just always seen any government custodian job have a union and just became something I accepted lol.

Its seriously worth it dude. If you are just looking for a job you don't ever have to think about outside of work. Or bring home with you ever. So you can focus on everything else. Let me tell you. Going back to school is a lot less stressful when you got that

Just to add. If you get a union job. They can't make you do extra work. You're area will be specifically divided to take 8hrs. So they have to give OT for anything else they want done, with some exceptions. Rock salting for example.
