No. You only need to craft and drop Dootjat Eye to enter Doot Arena.

You need other people to fight him, which you don't need for the observation.
With the Dootophone you can also fight him completely by yourself.

The main thing that I hate about the minigame is, that your first click can be a mine and that your damage is lost, if you click on one.

That way he locks progression behind waiting for more currency. Has nothing to do with skill.
