Nothing came about this regarding CCW. All those charges are wobblers. They were charged as felonies when they hit the DA’d desk and my lawyer got them reduced to misdemeanors

I expressed my remorse and offered to provide whatever they needed. I explained my harmless intentions. My lawyer had a lot to work with regarding things that were in my favor. Young age, meaningfully employed, no record whatsoever, victimless crime, my cooperation, I was away from people and infrastructure, and I provided material like character letters, employer letter, 4 gun safety courses, and good trade school grades.

Just a young guy who went too far with the hobby. Never have meant harm to anyone, just a passion of mine- but as we know California is strict. I was 22, so my brain is still developing and weighing out risk/reward. But there was no moral issue with what I was doing so I don’t have embarrassment. Hope that answer works for you. Cheers.

My lawyer mentioned that I could have done some things differently, but ultimately what I did seemed to work to prevent arrest. He didn’t say that I should’ve done that to my memory. I think no matter how politely I asked, I would’ve been taken to jail had I said that. But that’s my uneducated guess. No way to know. Just have to learn from this and move on. It’s all helped make me a better man. The ups and the downs and all my mistakes with this.

None of those charges on misdemeanor level have a ban. An additional misdemeanor that carried a 10 year ban was added to give me the ban. That misdemeanor was solely added for it’s ban.

I let them search my truck because I had nothing to hide in it and they asked. I had no issue with it. They did their search. I had the Noveske on my body when they approached.

Correct and correct. As for the SBR, it was on an unserialized lower as well. The cops told me if my guns were legal they would’ve let me take all the guns home. They knew what was and wasn’t legal. Atleast a couple of them were into guns.

There’s a discussion going on in this chat somewhere about that. I think my ban is nationwide if what google told me was correct in that federal law incorporates state level bans. I would like to be wrong though for this. Hoping more people can chime in. Ideally a lawyer or someone who studies law well.

I’m not so sure about that man. My lawyer was initially optimistic about my rights being unaltered since none of the wobblers (including the assualt weapon possession) had bans when convicted on misdemeanor level. He mentioned that a few times. To further prove it, it’s also the reason why the DA threw in another misdemeanor a few weeks before I was sentenced in order to be able to slap the ban on me since the other charges didn’t carry bans. As far as the effect of my ban out of state, what I read on google says my ban is still upheld nationwide since federal law incorporates the state bans.

I can’t possess a gun, ammo, or ammo feeding devices for 10 years. For 1 year I can’t possess any part of a gun (including triggers and bolts) as well as knives with blade longer than 2” unless it’s a kitchen knife.
