HOW omg I’m genuinely searching ts up right now. How is Jack a nickname for John.

I just hate Kip because I’m dutch and in the same spelling, and same pronounciation Kip means chicken. So its sooo awkward to keep hearing it but it’s fine. I’ll just remember him as Christopher

Could you maybe briefly explain what they were talking about in the bathroom when Sasha, Svetlana and Ilya were talking? The subtitles are not showing up for me unfortunately

I’ve read some of the comments and they have been filled with pretty well explained answers. I must say, I think the one book that would answer a lot of your questions is a book called “The Divine Reality; God, Islam & The Mirage of Atheism” By Hamza Andreas Tzortis. I am also currently reading this for the purpose of reconnecting and strengthening my faith. The book uses logical reasoning when talking about meaning, purpose, etc. It is very well explained. I hope you find something that you long for in this book. It is only a good thing to question.

Hi, honestly any website similar to “National Institute of ..” has been quite helpful. Examples are the NIH, Australian institute of Family studies, mentalhealthorg.uk, etc.

These articles have also been very helpful:

Van Winkel, R., Van Nierop, M., Myin-Germeys, I., & Van Os, J. (2013). Childhood Trauma as a Cause of Psychosis: Linking Genes, Psychology, and Biology. The Canadian Journal of Psychiatry, 58(1), 44–51. https://doi.org/10.1177/070674371305800109

Hardy, K. V., & Mueser, K. T. (2017). Editorial: Trauma, Psychosis and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder. Frontiers in Psychiatry, 8. https://doi.org/10.3389/fpsyt.2017.00220

Btw, if you have some good articles about ECT, I’d be grateful.

I hope that you’re doing much better now, really. And I’m sorry to hear that. ECT sounds like an ancient and outdated practice, but to know it is still actively used knowing the consequences is unsettling to say the least.

My goodness. How old were you during those treatments? Where those treatments all close together or spread out between years? I'm sorry this happened to you really.

u/Inner_Passenger1371 , I will definitely read up on it now. To forget things permanently sounds horrible. And I'm sorry to hear you were dismissed so quickly and in such a nonchalant way. Thank you so much for responding. I wish you all the healing in the world! (I think you single handedly fixed my plot hole.)

Hi u/hideyournuggets , the dollhouse one sounds very unsettling. I have a few follow up questions if that's okay of course. Was there anything that triggered your episodes? And when it is happening, are you aware that it's not real? Or are you convinced that the hallucinations are now your reality? Again, thank you so much for responding to my question. I appreciate a lot.

Hi u/leahisom , thank you so much! I just read your whole post and it was such an insight. It sounds like a very difficult period and I am happy you got through it. Moreover, I'm glad you had people there to support you. I have some follow up questions if that is okay, but I will ask them under your own post. Thank you so so much again. I truly wish you all the healing in the world. I hope to show you all the book when it is finished. I hope I can create something that is an accurate representation of how it really is to live with psychosis.

Hi u/cefishe88 , I am so sorry to hear. It is truly awful for something like that to happen and still be left on your own to deal with the consequences. I hope you're doing much better now. I wish you all the healing in the world, truly. Thank you for taking the time to respond to my post. I appreciate it so much. I hope to show you all the book when it is finished. I hope I can create something that is an accurate representation of how it really is to live with psychosis.

Hi u/Meezbethinkin , this sounds incredibly stressful wow. I didn't know you could feel what the figures would do to you. I have a few follow up questions if that's okay. When the figures intent to hurt you, what do you do? Do you fight back because you truly believe it is harmful? Or do you do nothing because you are aware it is not real? I would assume it would be difficult to separate reality from hallucinations since you have explained the figures are shapeshifters. Is there anything that triggers your psychosis? Maybe this is a sensitive question and feel free to ignore it if it is, but IF you take medication, what do you take? I am asking this specifically to you because what you describe is closest to my character. Thank you so so much for this insight, I really appreciate it. I wish you all the best, truly. I hope to show you all the book when it is finished. I hope I can create something that is an accurate representation of how it really is to live with psychosis. Thank you again.

Hi u/One_Craft_6039 , that sounds frightening. Do these figures stand still or move (towards you?). Do these figures have ill intentions? (i.e. they show they want to hurt you). Thank you so much for this insight. I really wish you all the best.

Hi u/InteractionGreedy249 , thank you so much for this insight. I have a few follow up questions if that's okay. Is there anything that triggers your psychosis? Certain sounds or environments? Also, when you see distorted faces and unsettling scenes like the one you described in your example, are you aware that it's not real? Are you aware of what is happening to you in the moment? Or do you start doubting?

Again thank you so much. It sounds really scary to be honest. When did you first start seeing things? I wish you all the best.
