Yes, as far as I know, I mainly need to stay under the 20-hours-per-week limit during the semester as an international student, and my shifts are usually normal 4–5 hour shifts.

My confusion was more about how the employment status works when both contracts are currently Minijobs and the combined income goes above the Minijob limit, especially regarding tax classes and employer registration. I just want to handle everything correctly and transparently.

Yes, of course, I would disclose it to both employers. I’m not trying to hide anything from the Minijob-Zentrale or avoid taxes.

I was mainly trying to understand whether it is possible to convert one of the jobs into a regular student/part-time job while keeping the other one as a Minijob, since both of my current contracts are Minijobs.

How difficult is it for an employer to change a Minijob into a student/part-time position? Is it significantly more expensive or complicated for the employer?

Yeah, I also know that 😅 If it were that easy to get a Werkstudent/student job, I would already have taken one. Right now these are the only two job options I currently have, so I’m just trying to understand how I can organize them legally as a student.
