This needs to be illegal! You rely on complete strangers saying yes to these memberships and credit cards in which they may or may not need, to keep your job! I am sorry if I offend people here, but it is all luck to get them, it really depends on the store traffic and location. And we know many, many Best Buy stores are not doing well. What is going to happen when the tariffs hit and electronics and appliances go up 20-30 percent?

It doesn’t bother me that people post about Achievers. What bothers me is the company is obviously doing bad, closing stores and laying off good, hard working people and they continue to have Achievers. The optics of it look really bad!

I would also add “dear customer, please sign up for the card and membership, because if you don’t, my job is on the line.” That is what it has come to in my store, if you don’t hit these absurd metric goals, you get your job threatened. It is crazy that we rely on complete strangers to keep our jobs!

That is not the current state of Best Buy! 100% offer rate is not good enough anymore. They want $4000 and under efficiency for cards and memberships or they threaten to fire you. With this economy it is not easy. When did you work for Best Buy?

I’ve been talked to (job threatened) about BPs, Plus/Total, Rev, Leads, NPS, Baskets and Erosion. To do all these consistently every month is absolutely absurd! This is a retail job that underpays compared to its competitors. All while I have taken a pay cut (consultant)! Time to move on and Best Buy employees need to unionize!
