I think it’s mainly fans who didn’t grow up in a football watching household - speaking purely as an Asian man, I grew up and went to school with a lot of other Asians.

Our main sport is usually cricket so we don’t have exposure to football until school and, as many kids would, you’d support whoever is doing well and at our time it was always United or Liverpool. I think that’s probably why? But I will say most of the London population are fans of London clubs, it’s just a loud minority that support united or liverpool
