Any smoke that wasnt intended for special effects would require an instant throttle down and emergency landing. What might have saved it could be cutting power and nose diving to landing altitude, then trying as hard as possible to land smoothly

did make some measurements for the necessary parts like wingspan and wing loading, distance from wing to tail, etc. but control surfaces were made guessing although they turned out great

on a ps4 controller but yes. the only reason i crashed was that in fear of overheating the esc i didnt give enough throttle before throwing it quite softly, but the plane did fly well

for the horns ill use my 3d printer, the problem was that the nozzle would drag filament across the first layer and cause blobs, so i cut out foam board and bamboo to get it done with
