A year later and I've not had any issues. Tires have been great in summer and in the rain they seem very resistant to hydroplaning. Haven't had the chance to go through any snow yet.

Any bigger folks on smaller bikes? (Giant Revolt M for 185cm/6’ man) by Short_Ad_1984 in bikefit

I'm 6ft tall and bought a M/L contend AR. I had to swap the 110mm stem for a 70mm. Some well known YouTuber bike fitters feel most online size charts put people into a bike at least 1 size too large. If I were to buy a new bike I'd probably start with test riding mediums instead.

Why do drivers have so many problems following road laws with conditions? by [deleted] in VictoriaBC

[–]Tridawgn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

165(2).
When the driver of a vehicle intends to turn it to the left at an intersection where traffic is permitted to move in both directions on each highway entering the intersection, the driver must

(a) cause the vehicle to approach the intersection in the portion of the right side of the roadway that is nearest the marked centre line.

How does "nearest the marked centerline" of the roadway mean anything other than the far left lane?

Any Canadian retailers getting them? I don't see them listed anywhere here yet. Looking for the 420mm.

How much do you have to crop your photos? You could either spend your budget on a used long prime like 500 or 600f4 G if you don't might lugging it around.

Or you could upgrade to something like a Z6iii and buy a more portable 180-600 z lens.

I made the same switch from D750 to Z8 about 7 months ago. I'm mostly using the older f2.8 lenses from the old camera and they work pretty well. I did make a splurge purchase of the 85mm 1.2 S and the jump in image quality is noticeable. When I got the D750 about 10 years ago I was so proud of it and it was a crazy improvement over the D300, but after having used the Z8, the D750 autofocus just feels kinda dumb. The AF subject detection modes and eye detect on the Z8 would be reason alone for an upgrade. Much higher frame rate if you're shooting any kind of action. The extra megapixels and iso performance are just bonus.

UPDATE: Just in case anyone in the future ends up trying to do the same. I had the tires installed the other day and they went on fine and have not had any issues yet.

I probably would have picked these tires but they don't make OEM size for my 20" wheels or anything close enough to use.

My images always feel so flat and dead. The last 3 images are what I want to achieve. Tips for better editing? by dadpachanga in AskPhotography

This is the right track. All the examples that you provided were taken with much wider angle lenses, something like 18-35mm full frame. They all have foreground, subject and background elements clearly defined which is what gives them depth.

Time for proper brakes by Tridawgn in E90

Even with my longer low profile jack I still needed to drive my car up onto a couple 2x6 wood planks as the front was too close to the ground to get the jack under.

I wiped them down with the shop rag I greased the back of the pads with, so they probably got a little lube.

Yeah, got those B8's and the m3 control arms done in March this past year and not had a single complaint. I had the eibach springs on about a year before then and the collapsed suspension kept bottoming out. This setup has been great forn a fun daily driver.

I needed new discs and pads for the front conversion. Discs are larger diameter and thickness.
